Very Beautiful hotel. In a good area, restaurants are nearby and on walkable distances. Great view of the city from our hotel room! Room was very clean. Bed we're comfy. Can't wait to stay here again in the near future.

Hotel was great and the staff was super friendly. Clean rooms with a great view of the city, definitely ask for an upper level room if possible. The upgraded suite was a bit pricey but the extra space was worth the money.

At check-in I was told I had a nice room with a great view of the French Quarter. I didn't really care about the view as I didn't expect to get to spend much time in my room, but imagine my surprise when I look out the window and it not only doesn't face the French Quarter, but it looked...

Thank you for your review. We are pleased to hear that you've found the hotel to have improved since your last visit and that you enjoyed our excellent location. We do apologize that the position of your room detracted from our breathtaking views and that your stay was disturbed by noise from the elevator system. We do hope that should...

Unless you feel the need to be on bourbon street, this hotels location amenities and location are great walking distance to main attractions. We stayed at this hotel after a cruise to enjoy some New Orleans culture. The rooms are well appointed with comfortable bedsheets and pillow top duvet. Nice place located in reach all the excitement of New Orleans... and just far enough away to relax when you want to take a break. I like having breakfast in the mornings, but this hotel's breakfast doesn't come included and was a little too expensive for me. Fortunately, there is a Starbucks located right at the entrance. There is also...

Ideally located on Canal street - across the street is the French quarter, a few blocks from the RiverWalk and well situated for a couple of streetcar lines. Great service and nice views of the Mississippi. Large clean rooms and friendly and helpful staff.

We arrived the Friday evening of the weekend before Mardi Gras so streets were being closed off and the hotel was limiting access to the hotel to guests only. When we arrived it was busy around the lobby but we were checked in quickly and each issued with a hotel wristband so we could access the building during Mardi Gras....

My husband and I we just git married a few week ago, how we live in Miami we decided to do something different for our honeymoon. I called at the hotel a week before to arrive at the hotel and I spoke with Matthew from the reservation, he was very kind trying to helping me with all that information that...

I stayed at the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel for a recent conference at the Convention Center. I found the hotel a nice, reasonable walk (about 1 mile) to the CC and very close to the French Quarter. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance as well. Overall, a good place to stay but the rooms do need a little...

Initially we were given a room that apparently had not been cleaned or was very poorly done. I spoke with the front desk and they went above and beyond helping us get a clean room (gave us room credit to use at the hotel) - I would stay again if I end back in New Orleans. As far as New...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
