We had a very nice stay. Got the New Orleans experience and reasonable prices. B good free parking! Clean, neat, and polite staff. Breakfast out our door. Would stay again! Garden district with many eating options within walking distance. Streetcar was around the corner.

Our group of 19 friends booked this hotel. I came in at 1:30 am exhausted struggling to get my luggage through the lobby doors. The employee, Chris just looked on. After I checked in he said that I was in the 2nd floor and there are no elevators. Again, he watched me struggle to get through the door. I asked...

Dear Guest, I know your group overall had a wonderful weekend without problems, except for the rain disrupting some of the outdoor plans you all had. We truly appreciated the chance to get to know all of your, and were thrilled to have this special 20th reunion at our hotel. We were more than glad to give your group free...

This is a great place! Location, comfort, high end toiletries towels linens. Front desk very helpful. Great gym! Did not rate it 5 as room service a bit off. We stayed 3 nights and garbage never emptied even though it was overflowing. Thats not a big deal. The rest was excellent.

This hotel reminds you that New Orleans is indeed an old European like city. It offers the unique charms of interior courtyards where they serve the included continental breakfast. A bit of deferred maintenance but comfortable and convenient. Staff were friendly and laughed with the guests. If you expect fancy hotels with big lobbies this is not the place for...

Had my first visit to NOLA March 1-5, 2014, sharing a queen/twins room with my brother and father. We arrived a full 7 hours before check-in time, and Christine took excellent care of us and our bags until they had a room ready. She was at the desk what seemed like 24/7 throughout our stay and was fantastic. (By her...

My group of 8 adults loved this hotel. It was clean, unique and super affordable. We booked 4 rooms and all 4 rooms were different in their layout and design which gave it more of a Bed & Breakfast-type feel and was so much better than the cookie-cutter styles of most hotel rooms. The location was perfect and the staff...

Hotel was great. 1 block off st Charles st. Rooms were clean, beds super comfy. But best was Christine the recp! She was so helpful!!! Other recp girls were also great. Although the manager dori was quite rude when we were checking in. But other than that place was great. Would stay here again.

Dear Guest, I am sorry you found me rude, as it certainly was not intended to be presented as such. I know when you finally got to the hotel late afternoon on March 1st to check in, you were frustrated and flustered for the lenght of time it took you to get to us because of the Mardi Gras parades...

Great location, in the Garden District, one block from the St Charles streetcar line. This is a unique boutique style hotel with great service and a reasonable price. It had the most comfortable bed I've ever experienced in a hotel. The breakfast was the standard cereal, yogurt, bagels, coffee, juice etc. served outside in the courtyard. The room was clean...

We'd wanted a budget hotel in a "safe" location in NOLA. This one is a bit out-of-centre, has large onsite parking, nearby restaurants and easy access to the tramcars to Canal Street. It seems to be about midway between Brad Pitt and Sandra Bullock. NOLA itself presented no obvious problems, but we weren't being too adventurous. Hotel reception were helpful...

Prytania Park is a short walk to the St Charles Street cable car line. There are also some nice restaurants within walking distance. It is tuck back off the road so there isn't a lot of noise from cars. (Noise from other guest is another story.) The room was small. The bed was comfortable with clean sheets. The towels were...

Staying in Garden District

Neighbourhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
