This place, is one in a chain of Garden District Hotels. The office space is small, yet ample to conduct business. we arrived early and was readily able to assume the room. You pass thru a narrow walk way into the court yard area. Once within a room, the ceilings were 12 feet high, with white-walled, open faced bricks. The...

We have stayed here twice. The location is great. The streetcar is one block away on st Charles avenue. The staff is very accommodating and the continental breakfast is what it is. There are plenty of great restaurants nearby.

This was a gem of a find and at a decent nightly rate as well. We stayed in one of the queen loft suites with our two daughters. They were so excited to go up the spiral stairs and sleep in the loft they didn't even try to sleep in our bed. I also enjoyed my early morning walks around...

PRO: The staff of the front office was excellent. I had interaction with about four or five of the staff. All of them went out of their way to be polite, helpful, cheerful and professional. I asked one of your employees (sorry but I do not know her name, but she was pregnant so that probably narrows it ) to...

Easy to find, good parking and access to the city, good spacious room and a thoroughly satisfying breakfast. We had a queen bed room and this was quite adequate, wi-fi worked well and the tram line runs a block away into town.

We stayed 2 days after our cruise with friends. Nice to sit on the patio furniture out side the rooms and talk. Many place to eat with in walking. Trolley stop half a block away to get around town. Just $3 for 24 hour pass. Vary nice place to rest before our trip home.

We were only in New Orleans for one night and were pleased to find this gem of a hotel. The staff were great. The room was really neat, our children stayed up in the loft and enjoyed climbing the spiral staircase to their room. Eating breakfast outside was a very neat experience. The hotel is located very close to the...

We enjoyed the hotel and patio. Made nice with patio furniture and side entrance. Parking is included so good for those with cars. Breakfast ok. Good location. Come during slow times, so streetcars not so crowded. Summers are hot & humid.

The room was perfect for our stay and with multiple cars, parking was not an issue. Cute space, firm memory foam mattress and friendly staff. Location is so close to st. Charles with plenty to do! Suggestion: used fan reverted to distribute temp more evenly for upper loft.

We checked in and was greeted right away. The front desk was very helpful with lots of great suggestions for tours and places to eat. We love our room. The kids loved the loft area and thought it was so cool to Sleep upstairs. The bed is so comfortable and the room has a fridge. I love the location, less...

Staying in Garden District

Neighbourhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
