It is a charming hotel on the edge of the French Quarter. Rooms are charming and service is excellent. Walking distance to everything in the French Quarter. Helped us with a car tire problem at no charge. Offered to help with ant directions or reservations fir dining. Great Service.

Staff is always friendly and very helpful! This is our 6th stay at Hotel Provincial and we wouldn't stay at any other place. Etienne is the best bartender in the entire city! He makes killer Bloody Mary's!

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Provincial in New Orleans. It is located on Chartres not far from Bourbon Street but just far enough away from the craziness of the French Quarter. The hotel is comprised of several buildings and there is a pool (which we did not use because of the weather) and a lovely courtyard patio. Our room...

Great location right in the French Quarter., walking distance to French Market, Bourbon St., Jackson Square. Room was very nice, clean, and had an old time flavor. Staff was outstanding, everyone was very friendly and helpful.

The room smelled musty, which is probably due to the fact that there are no windows you can open (or maybe we had a ghost in our room?)! However, the rooms are very clean - housekeeping did a fantastic job every day. The lady behind the bar is wonderful, very knowledgeable about the local area and recommended us a great...

can't give them a perfect review because the elevator smelled funky, and there was some visible dust in few corners of the room, but the suite we ordered was great. The only surprise was that it was 2 floors, so the 2nd bed was only accesible by stairs.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Provincial. The room and bed were great, but what was most impressive were the staff. Especially helpful were Rich, the night manager, and David the valet. But they were all great and we will definitely stay there again!

Hotel Provincial was a beautiful and quaint hotel conveniently located near the French market in the French Quarter. It was very quiet and the staff was exceptionally friendly. We especially liked Brandon, the valet, who always had a smile on his face and made us feel more like friends than guests. It was nice to know that our car was...

This is a private Hotel, and the staff is very nice, friendly and helpful. Try and get a room by the courtyard or pool area. (You better request it when you make your reservation.)The rooms near the pool area, where we stayed, were very quiet, a little more than the courtyard, which amazed us. The hotel itself is in an...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
