This hotel is one of the great hotels in America. We have been staying there since the early 70's when we come to New Orleans. The Prime Rib at the Rib Room is the best ever. You can actually cut it with a fork. The location is great with it being only 1 block off Bourbon Street. Overall the staff...

This is a very old and majestic hotel right in the French Quarter. Loved the location, close to everything but not too noisy or crazy! The area is very walkable to all the sites and Bourbon Street. The room that I had was small but big enough for one person. The pool is on the roof and was nice. There...

Omni Royal Orleans is a beautiful and historic property and is at an excellent location. My room was a courtyard view with a queen bed. It was an older, smaller room with an even smaller bathroom with a very small sink/vanity area. The conference and banquet room staff were there to help around every corner. No complimentary coffee available in...

This was our first time to New Orleans and like any new place I do my share of research before I book a room. Lets face it, a hotel can make or break your vacation. My experience at Omni Royal was exactly what I had dreamed of. The room was amazing as was the staff. The front desk greets your...

My adult daughter and I went to New Orleans for the first time and we had nothing but fun. The location of this hotel is great. We walked to Canal where we caught the street cars to the rest of the city.

Once again, the Omni Royal delivers friendly, professional service. We always stay here when we visit the French Quarter and will continue to in the future. The location is perfect if you want to be near the action but need the quiet at night. If you want an added treat, stay in one of the second floor courtyard rooms. It...

The Omni Royal has a great location! Walking distance from excellent food (the Rib Room is on the ground floor, Napoleon House is across the street, Pierre Masperos is across the street, and a three minute walk to Court of Two Sister just to name a few), great shopping, Jackson Square, and Bourbon Street! All of the staff we encountered...

We stayed over Omni during Christmas time in 2016 & everything was pretty close by. Literally minutes walk to the best places in Bourbon street / French quarter. Room was slightly small sized but it is a New orleans thing & nothing much can be done. Staff was good, hotel well kept & on spot. The roof top observation deck...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
