We enjoyed our stay at the Royal Orleans. The hotel was spotless, rooms smelled clean and not due to carpet fresheners etc. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms clean and neat. We had two dogs with us and everyone in the hotel treated them as if they were welcome guests, asking if they could help us in anyway walking them...

This has to be about as perfect a location as you could want in the Quarter. One block from Bourbon Street, so you are far enough away from the nonsense, but it's still right there when you want to dip your foot in (sadly, that's not just a metaphor). It's also right in the best shopping sections on Royal and...

The staff was pleasant and eager to assist. The hotel was modern and elegant. Our room was spacious and spotless. The beds were comfortable. The hotel was quiet and relaxing. We were located within a block of so many great restaurants, bars and shopping. I cannot wait to return to New Orleans and book the Omni again!

Me and my husband stayed at this hotel for 3 nights at the beginning of our honeymoon. The hotel was around 20minutes from the airport and cost 30 dollars. When we got out of the taxi there was a porter helping us with our bags, he's was very helpful and quiet friendly. The hotel reception area was beautifully decorated and...

The Omni Royal Orleans offers a dependably positive experience that should delight most travelers. I have stayed there many times and never been disappointed. My recent visit was no exception. It is a gracious property in a superb location.

The Omni Royal is where I stay when i visit New Orleans. The location is ideal for those visiting the French Quarter; centrally located on Royal St (which in itself is lovely) and far enough from Bourbon St that noise is not a problem. The reception area is festive and grand, the staff at all levels are very accommodating and...

We loved this hotel. Close to everything. Staff was super friendly and helpful. We had a balcony room and opened up the doors to fantastic music every day. Great place to have a glass of wine & listen to the street musicians.

Beautiful hotel. Lovely dining options. Lobby has many quiet corners to sit and enjoy a drink while listening to live music. Fitness center is small but has plenty of equipment. Rooftop pool and observatory has nice view of the Mississippi River. Location is one block from Bourbon St. Easy walk to many attractions. Serious fun for 21 and over crowd...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
