The hotel was very nice. It was very clean. Newly renovated. Staff was very nice. Valet parking is expensive though. It is in a great location. We walked to Bourbon St, Royal St, Jackson Square, even to Frenchman.

I was a guest at the New Orleans Marriott over the Christmas 2014 holiday. The hotel was beautifully decorated and you could feel the holiday spirit in the air. I lodged on the 33rd Floor in the River Tower which overlooks the Mississippi River. Spectacular views of the river, cruise liners, barges and the Westbank. My room was cleaned but...

Location is the most important factor for me to choose a hotel, and this one hit the nail on the head. We only had one night to spend in New Orleans. We walked everywhere in French Quarter, and it was easy to get to streetcar stations. The room was a bit small, but nice and clean. Food at the restaurant...

We booked this place for the location and we are so glad we did. The room was clean and everything was nicely decorated. I appreciated the extra security of the elevator system. We were a short walk from everything: streetcars, Bourbon Street, the River.

I stayed here prior to departing on a cruize. It is right in the center of the French Quarter which makes getting around very easy. If you are driving, plan to pay $40/day. It is a Marriott, so it has all the amenities you would expect. What I found interesting is the elevator is "call to order". This means you...

Got to hear noise from the elevators operating my entire stay. After multiple complaints, finally convincing the manager on duty to come up and hear the noise himself. We were moved to the unrenovated side. After stepping back to 1985, we did get some sleep. Luckily there was a choice of beds since on had a 6 inch sag in...

Chris11246, Thank you for reviewing your recent experience. It is concerning to learn of the inconveniences you experienced during your stay. All rooms will be completely remodeled by this summer and believe this will address the challenges you experienced. We hope to welcome you back to our property in the future and exceed your expectations.

We've stayed here several times now. Love the hotel and the location. ONLY problem is...we make our reservations through jarrahs and we always have trouble with them finding out reservations. Other than that, we love staying here! And Trip Advisor....this minimum character review is a pain!

We picked New Orleans due to its location. We wanted to stay close to the French Quarter but have high enough floors to stay away from noise. Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
