Stayed here with some friends when we came down for Carnival. Classy place my favorite was the rooftop pool and jacuzzi. The pb&j & hot chocolate bar at night was a nice touch. We had a great time just walking over to the parade routes...More
I had stayed at Le Pavillon on my first visit to NOLA almost 30 years ago; with its distinction as a Leading Hotel of the World I had great expectations.
I was there for the Essence Festival, the largest NOLA event during the summer, over...More
I stopped in to have a drink just to see inside, and I was blown away by how beautiful the lobby is. The chandeliers and vintage furniture are gorgeous, and the fully restored bar is aesthetically fabulous. The bartender (a black man in his 70's)...More
We stayed here for my daughters 21st Bday. Everyone went out of there way to celebrate with us including s cake and champagne waiting when we arrived. Beautiful Hotel. Close enough to walk to Bourbon Street and surrounding areas. Great choice for a hotel!

Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts
District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

I don't pay much mind to stories of hauntings and spirits. I think if you want a ghostly encounter, you can find one anywhere...especially in areas with so many stories to tell. But I personally think you find as much as you're looking for. There was nothing out of the ordinary in my experience. The hotel was stunning and my stay was wonderful!
