We are here right now celebrating my 50th Birthday during Mardi Gras week - this is the most amazing hotel and we had a wonderful welcome and lots of help from both Adam and the lovely lady who served us in the bar this afternoon and showed us how to download the Mardi Gras parade tracker - well done to...

We had a business conference at this hotel and I must say this is one of the best hotel experiences ever. The staff was excellent and catered to our every need. The rooms we decent size for New Orleans. At 10:00 every night, guests are invited to partake of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich plus milk or hot chocolate....

We made reservations months ago for the first week of Mardi Gras never having stayed at the hotel. I checked my vehicle for $45 a day, with unlimited use. It's outside on Poydras. The drop off is good for only 2 or 3 vehicles. After some initial confusion checking in due to problems on our end, we were given 2...

Good location just a few blocks form Canal Street and right along the St. Charles Railcar line. Rooms and lobby are nicely renovated and rooftop pool is lovely. We did have trouble with the shower water not getting hot enough and found their bar prices quite high - otherwise might have given them a 5 rating.

What was very special about staying at the Le Pavillion Hotel was stepping back in time to another "day" of romantic antique flourishes, ornate lobby, large sparkling chandeliers which all created the ambiance of a by-gone era. If you don't appreciate old, historic things like that and you need modern sleek touches, this hotel is not for you. We did...

Had previously stayed here in 2015 with a nice stay so I came back. No notice upon arrival or in lobby about renovations. Our room was not ready at 3 pm. There was ongoing construction in suite next door until 6:30PM the first night (only stopped because we requested it), and non-stop another night - we finally requested to change...

The hotel and the rooms were lovely. Great location to the Superdome. However, toilet backed up, cable was out and phones were not working. Had to call from my cell phone to speak to the front desk regarding issues in my room. It took a full day to get anyone to respond to my problems.

Perfect location. Just renovated. Like new, beautiful hotel. Old town charm with elegant appointments. Perfect for concert location. Walked to restaurants and concert in a few short minutes. Very pleasantly surprised.

My husband and I spent 2 nights during inauguration week at this hotel. The hotel location is ideal and you can easily get to major attractions such as bourbon street. The hotel bed was incredibly comfortable and the room was spacious enough. On the not so pleasant side was that hot water was an issue and you had to let...

Great location everyone on staff was so helpful. Pam in the restaurant was awesome, she made us feel so welcome and took great care of us. I would stay here again walking distance to the French Quarter, yet away from noise and hubbub.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
