Excellent Hyatt property that's right next to Bourbon street and high end shopping. The rooms are clean and open. We had a ground floor room that opened to a hotel surrounded open space. The prices were great for a winter getaway. There are some homeless folks who hang out near the back entrance, but they are harmless. Plus, the hotel...

This is our go to hotel in New Orleans. Conveniently located near the French Quarter without being so deep in the Quarter that it's problematic to go elsewhere. The rooms are very nice and quiet which is a plus and not always a certainty in NOLA. Highly recommend.

It was a little noisy in the lobby area as many people were there for a big football weekend other than staff was friendly and was easy to walk to everywhere. Bourbon street is one block away. If I came back I would stay somewhere further away from there

This is a modern, attractive hotel in a nice location. Room was clean and spacious. Front desk staff was top-notch. The pool looked nice, although I never used it. I do have a few criticisms. First, in my online reservation, I had requested a feather-free room due to allergies. When checking in, I asked and was told that housekeeping would...

Great location right off Bourbon Street! Easy check in and convenient access to elevator. Coffee shop and bar in the lobby are outstanding. Small lobby allows quick return to your room to freshen up or drop off shopping finds. By far, one of my favorite hotels in the Quarter.

A great location and a good deal on our rooms meant this was an ideal choice for our 3 night visit. Reception and concierge staff couldn't have been more helpful, with room upgrades because they didn't have two together and lots of advice on trips and restaurants. The rooms were large and well maintained, and my only criticism that they...

I visited this property for the second time, and nothing changed, perfect stay again. I wish I could add something from my first stay or from the great reviews from everyone else. As a diamond member, I stay at a wide variety of properties, this completed my 72nd night this year. I put this in my top three of Hyatt...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
