All of the hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was very spacious and clean. Our room had a balcony facing Iberville Street that we could see Canal Street and Bourbon Street from. We used the "hop on, hop off" tour bus and would highly recommend it. Had a pleasant Dinner Cruise on the steamboat "Natchez" Saturday night....

Nicest room ever! Really high ceilings and super spacious. it was definitely a party room. Beds were very comfortable. We were on the second floor, facing the street (it was loud, but not the worst). I would definitely book a room on the side of the hotel that doesn't face the street. Staff was super nice but the concierge was...

We stayed for 5nights for Mardi Gras and could not have chosen better. Rooms were spacious and clean. Concierge think her name was Karen was brilliant and so helpful. As Bourbon was so crowded they gave us wristbands to stop non guests entering during the busiest time. Nice bar downstairs and lovely chilled pool area for the hotter weather. Highly...

I stayed at this hotel for two nights for a business conference. The service was quick and exceptional. The room was enormous and quiet. The price was fantastic for the location and amenities. Barely had to walk to Redfish Grill, Hard Rock Cafe, Bourbon House, and dozens of other great places. The bed was by far the best hotel bed...

We had a great room, fourth floor overlooking Boubon Street. The room had a balcony that was fun to hang out on and enjoy the activity. It was noisy with the crowds below but we were willing to sacrifice s little noise to have the view. The hotel has a cute coffee bar/restaurant along with a separate bar for drinks...

I would give this 3 1/2 stars. This will not be one of my usual glowing Hyatt reviews. I will save the shortcomings for the review I directly give Hyatt (if they send me a post stay survey that is). The hotel was decent, our room quite and spacious. But a few details were lacking. I expect more from Hyatt....

From the moment valet takes your car to the moment you walk through the doors, this hotel is GAME ON!!!! impeccable service, very clean rooms, and wonderful little touches. The only CON that I can say....there was only a shower, no tub. So if you like to soak, well, it's not happening. The bed was just right, lots of pillows...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
