What a great place to stay. We were originally booked for 2 nights, stayed 3. Perfect location in the French quarter to walk around and experience the Big Easy. Close to great restaurants and tours. The only downside, be prepared for a lot of outside noise, but hey this is going to happen everywhere let's be honest. Great staff, beautiful...

We came in super early - 9am. Our room wasn't ready yet, but the front desk was able to store our luggage and took our number with a promise to call once there was a room. We did not have a car with us, but I heard the front desk person tell another traveler that valet parking was $20 a...

This is a nice hotel. Its small, but rooms are good size. The lobby is nice, and shares floor space with a chic art gallery, and a good restaurant / bar. Service was good, and the employees were all very attentive and helpful. Okay - why the "1 Star, Terrible" rating? We stayed for three days. There was simply no...

My wife and I returned to New Orleans for the International Workboat Show. We wanted to try a place we haven't stayed before and opted for La Galerie. The location in the French Quarter is nice. Easy walking access to the convention center and the French Quarter. The staff at the hotel were very nice and competent. That is really...

Jonisha at the front desk is a gem! Very accommodating and delightful. Location is perfect for experiencing everything in the French Quarter. The walls are paper thin so hopefully you have considerate neighbors. Trip advisor lists this as a pet friendly hotel which it is not but the management was kind enough to accommodate us as we had put it...

Hotels in French District are gold and this hotel is a gem for its affordable price and great location. Location: Just past Canal Street which separates French District from Downtown CBD, and where you can access the Streetcar (tram) that takes you to major landmarks such as Garden District, Downtown CD, Riverwalk (where ferries are moored), French Market and Cemeteries....

The first name night was great! The bed was comfy and not too noisy. When we returned the next week we got the king suite which was much roomier but the pillows were flat and the street noise was very loud. I know it's not the hotel's fault but I didn't sleep well. The staff was very friendly and accommodating...

Very comfortable and spacious. Loved having a separate living and bedroom area, makes it more comfortable for friends when getting ready. Could have had better lighting in livingroom area. Bathroom could be use attention. I would stay here again.

Our room was next to the elevator and it was incredibly noisy plus just the sheer volume of people screaming and talking at all hours. Also when we went to check out it took the valet over an HOUR to retrieve our car. Unbelievable!! When we pointed it out at the desk, they gave us the excuse that valets worked...

Enjoyed the location, friendly staff and remodeled lobby. However, a half hour to check in and find the valet wasn't the best first impression. After reading reviews regarding the noise at the back of the hotel, I made c train we got a room closer to the front.sadly, that didn't help.the noise is loud and constant!

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
