Great Location. Nightly Jazz band is a must, although finding seats was a challenge.. So get there early. Room overlooking pool was well cool and quite. Room bit on the small side, but hey, old historic building in the romantic French Quarter.

The hotel is gorgeous and the room was very nice, yet small for the price we paid. You can hear everything going on in surrounding rooms. The shower didn't drain well. Just small things like that, that you would expect not to be a problem for the price tag. Overall a very great place to stay.

This is our third time to stay at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel in the past 6 years. We know there are likely lots of other great hotels in the area, but some friends recommended we stay here many years ago and we fell in love with the place. The atmosphere is wonderful, the service is excellent, the location and proximity...

Enjoyed the hotel as it was in an excellent location and the amenities were nice. We asked for a quiet room and received one facing the pool. As another guest noted the pool lights did shine into the room and there were no curtains, just this slat device that blocked most of the light but not all. I'm really not...

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Everyone was very friendly and the service was efficient. The lounge off of the lobby is a nice place to enjoy true jazz music at night. Our room was comfortable (the bathroom was a little small), clean, and well appointed. The location is EXCELLENT, just off Bourbon Street and a block from...

Easy walking distance to oysters and art galleries, and of course Preservation Hall. Will happily stay here on our next NOLA trip. All staff - front desk, dining room, bar, door - were friendly and helpful.

We had stained sheets and towels, the stuff was unpleasant and not very helpful. The commutative price of room with valet parking is not worthy of the mediocre experience. After two nights at the Bourbon we moved to a different hotel in the Business district.

I was done for a wedding and this was perfectly located near Jackson Square, where the wedding was located. The food was great, bed comfortable and Bloody Mary's excellent! I there there were some new people working in the dining room so service was so/so for breakfast, but even that she wasn't so bad!

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
