While I could have hoped for quieter guests in the adjoining room and flatter pillows, all-in-all this was a superb location and was well attended. I will come back here if Hotel Mazarin is full. Being behind Saint Louis Cathedral and right at Bourbon Street it was hard to believe how quiet it was in my room. The bar is...

Loved this hotel. Beautifully decorated and not your run of the mill hotel. Has a vibe to it, a personality. Just like the city its impressive and full of life. When though it was time to sleep it was quiet and peaceful, perfect!

Located close to everything. One block from Bourbon Street and priced reasonably. Bar drinks not great but does have live music. People helpful and pleasant. Over all very good place to stay. John the Concierge was very helpful and picked great places for dinner.

Beautiful hotel with wonderful staff. However I have repeatedly requested a call from management regarding a problem with our room and still have not received call. This visit was definitely not up to their normal high standards

our choice every two years, excellent service, location, and value. Our 25th +/- City visit, a choice we consider every time. Very competitive to larger facilities, without the traffic and congestion associated with larger hotels.

Really enjoyed our stay. Took my adult daughter for a Saturday overnight stay and go to the Saints game Sunday. Take this trip every year for her birthday. Every trip, regardless on hotel, we leave our car in hotel parking, go to the game and go back to get the car. Every hotel let's us do this, as does Bourbon...

First trip to Louisiana for birthday/football/Halloween and was thoroughly impressed. Great hotel, staff and grounds in the heart of the French Quarter. Good: location -- just behind Saint Louis Cathedral, walking distance from everything, fascinating creole history, helpful staff, beautiful lobby, inviting pool. Bad: constant Bourbon street noise on Tuesday & Wednesday nights(!), cigaret smoke smell in the "smoke-free" room, some minor problems with cleanliness.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
