We come to the French Quarter every chance we can .. 3 or 4 times a year. We found thé Bienville House a delight. It is a historic hotel so it is older but everything worked. We had a sundeck room where you could walk out your door and sit outside if you wanted. The most amazing part was the...

Granted we are very prejudiced towards our family here at Bienville House but we just cannot say enough good things about them which guarantees our return whenever we visit NOLA. We arrived very early and were told that our room was not quite ready and were in the process of "Pre-Check In" so that we could start out day in...

Great location in a quiet corner of the French Quarter. Close enough to walk to Canal street and Jackson Square. The hotel is small but the staff very friendly and helpful. It is good value for being so central in the heart of NOLA.

Just back a few days from staying 4 nights at the Bienville House. As always, our stay was perfect! The lobby was decorated for the holidays. It was beautiful! The staff decorated the Christmas tree themselves! That is the one of my favorite things about Bienville House, the personal touches from the staff!! Everyone is extremely personable! They all reach out...

Location is nice for walking around the french quarter. Parking is a pain, the hotel valet parking is crowded, takes sometime to get your vehicle. Parking is $34.00 a night. Breakfast is just the basics, Cold cereal and breads, with coffee and tea. Like most things in the area, this hotel is older and nice.

The entry and lobby was ok. We were greeted by the evening front desk lady, Miss Cynthia, who was an absolute delight! She was knowledge, kind and a funny character. When we got into our room, we noted it was small and run-down but we didn't pay much attention, dropping our bags and heading out to go see some evening...

Our stay was perfect great staff lovely a taste of the south right in the French quarter. A taste of history the hotel a joy to stay in. We would definitely stay again. Beads and all! Bourbon Street was a blast. The hurricanes at fat catz were the bomb.

My husband and I were celebrating my 50th birthday and our 25th Anniversary. When we arrived the staff greeted us with the biggest smiles. So far it has been a great experience! Bathroom could use some updating. They don't say it on website, but you will need to pay a daily valet charge if you bring a vehicle. I used Uber so it wasn't an issue.

My husband and I stayed here two nights with our 6 year-old daughter. The location is pretty perfect walking distance to anywhere in the French Quarter. We even walked to the aquarium one day. The hotel is far enough away from the party areas to be quiet at night, but still close enough to all the action if that's where...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
