We had girls trip to NOLA. We got a great rate on a boutique hotel. We were moved to a new room after experiencing an a/c issue. Easy and very considerate on addressing the problem. Cynthia at the front desk was excellent, she had all our needs met before we knew we needed anything. Thomas, our bellman, was most helpful....

Probably the worst hotel experience I have had anywhere in the world. Staff who do not know how to treat their guests.Rooms with little or no light.dDo not take the sun deck rooms you pay extra for nothing.A view of a wall and tables and chairs not for your personal use but for anybody in the hotel to sit and...

The hotel was gorgeous. Lots of character, incredible little romantic courtyard. Great location to everything. Other guests were very friendly and plenty had stayed there multiple times which I was not surprised by. The staff (especially William on front desk) were just amazing - 5 star service and thank you! My parents stayed in a nice big room with a...

Went from a room with HOLES in the SHEETS to an upgraded room right in front of the Fire station, which meant that we were jolted from our bed with the full blaring sound of fire trucks leaving thefire house just outside our room! OBTW-Neither room had air conditioning on when we arrived.

We stayed the week of St. Patrick's Day for vacation. The hotel stay was great. Clean room, friendly front desk staff(especially Cynthia), and a location centralized to all sorts of great activities without the Bourbon street smell. What I find most remarkable however was the treatment we received after we returned home. I realized I had left a beloved blouse...

An amazing hotel with some of the best hospitality service in the city. Fantastic staff members, William and Beverly are a cut above the norm and stand out as shining stars in this beloved hotel. I was in a group of 10 who stayed in a handful of rooms and could not say more positive things about the charm of the hotel, the staff, and the location within the French Quarter. This is a great boutique hotel with a quaint courtyard surrounding a pool, a nice restaurant & bar inside, and comfortable rooms. If you...

I spent six days at the Bienville with my wife. I was mostly attending a conference during the day, being free in the evenings, and she was a tourist. The location is great: a 20-30 minute walk to the convention center but in the French quarter, close to many good restaurants, bars and entertainment, and yet sufficiently far from Bourbon...

Love this hotel. The decor is homey and attractive. The rooms are comfortable. The location is spectacular if you are interested in the French Quarter Although you should know that they are located across the street from a fire station.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
