Located conveniently in the French Quarter, but slightly away from the evening rowdiness, this hotel was the perfect option for us. Included breakfast is fine, lots of carbs plus yogurt and some hard boiled eggs. The restaurant has good options and a great cocktail list. The room and bathroom were nice and clean. We were facing Decatur street and had...

We stayed here in October, 2016, for two nights and thorough enjoyed our time! Our room and the hotel was old, but charming. Our bed was very comfortable, and the room was in a quiet location. The front desk was helpful with directions and recommendations. Great continental breakfast with excellent service! We certainly enjoyed the convenience of walking out the...

Obviously, the location is wonderful. It's on the edge of the French Quarter, so it is quiet but still convenient. Physically getting through the maze of the halls to our room was interesting, but not bad. I was a little put off that our room didn't have any windows, but it ended being really cozy. If we had stayed more...

The Bienville House was a charming, European type hotel with comfy beds, clean rooms in a location close to Jackson Square, the river, Canal Street and the French Quarter. Close to everything, but far enough away from the noise and safe. Everyone at the hotel was super nice. The En Vie coffee house next door and the sightseeing place across...

This hotel had old world charm and was in a great location. Easy to walk to so many places, museums, restaurants, and Jackson Square. A breakfast selection was available every morning from 7am to 10am. Bagels, muffins, cereal, boiled eggs, yogurt, fruit, milk, juice, and coffee. The attendant made sure you had everything you needed. Cookies were served in the...

So much better than a cookie cutter hotel. Front desk staff were all genuinely friendly and helpful, anxious to tell you about their city and things to do. The location is right down the street from Jackson square and cafe du monde and the street car river line is practically right out the back door. Walking back to the hotel...

great hotel to stay at with a very short walk to Bourbon Street. The staff was very helpful with letting me and my wife know what restaurants and sights were close, and since we had our dogs with us they focused on what restaurants were pet friendly and the suggestions we received were amazing and so was the food.

This is a four star hotel with a five star service. They went over our expectations to make our stay a memorable and unforgettable one. It can't have a better location. Employees are friendly, efficient and with big knowledge of the town an attractions. They are always accessible with a good attitude. We absolutely, would stay here again recommend the...

Staff is wonderful, very accommodating. Hotel is a little worn, but planning a face lift. The location is both good and not so good. It's close to almost everything in Quarter, but noise level was a bit much at night. Also close enough to Canal to walk to restaurants.

Our stay at the Bienville House Hotel was amazing. The Southern quaintness and charm of the hotel in addition to the attention to detail and 4 star service offered from the staff, made this one of our best experiences ever. We definitely will be returning to this hotel soon!!!

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
