For anyone who hasn't been to NOLA before and doesn't know what to expect in the French Quarter, save time looking for a hotel and book into this one. Located on St Philip Street, just a couple of blocks from Jackson Square, the hotel benefits from being just far enough way from late noise on busy Bourbon and Decateur Streets....

This hotel is FULL of character! From the luscious greenery in the lobby and courtyard, to the eccentric art work on the room walls. The room I stayed in was very clean. The staff... always available and extremely kind. I loved my short stay here at St. Philip hotel.

Great place to stay. Convenient, spacious room, quiet. Close to a great coffe shop and great restaurant. My family stayed here while son was visiting Tulane. About 9 block walk to Canal and Street car pickup, but very close to everything else.

Apartment-style is the way to go! I'd recommend this place to all. Friendly staff, cool accommodations and in walking distance to everywhere. May want to request a few pans be added to the kitchen. Couldn't take advantage of that area as much as we would have liked. Wanted to do breakfast in rather than always eating out. Amazing place though!

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
