This place is amazing. I would not stay anywhere else in New Orleans. Believe all of the rave reviews. Plan your trip to NOLA around the Royal St. Courtyard's availability. Philip and David were awesome, and accomodating to a special request of ours. Simply the best. Kindest regards, Jake (& Georgann, Danielle, Student)

Recently we went to New Orleans for a relaxing getaway. Philip and David were awesome. They made us feel right at home and were full of helpful information to guide us thru the city. The Inn is full of charm and very cozy. The furnishings, especially the bed, were very comfortable and help ease the aches of a long day...

My wife, my parents, and I stayed at the Royal Street B&B for 5 days and had an absolutely fantastic and memorable time. However, we knew this would be the case before even arriving. From the first time we spoke with Philip, the manager and part owner, he was charming, helpful, informative, and spoke with us as though we had...

We have just had a wonderful stay at Royal Street Courtyard. As has been said in other reviews, it was like "home from home." On arrival we had a warm greeting from Phillip and were given lots of good advice on places to visit and eat. Our room (no.10) was large , immaculately clean, and had everything you could need...

I stayed here with my partner based on former reviews of the place. It lives up to its fine reputation. It's ideally located just outside of the French Quarter and the neighborhood has its own great eateries and coffee places (like the Orange Sofa down the street). Philip is a terrific host, as is David, and who doesn't like a...

We spent six nights at the Royal Street Courtyard and loved it! It was close enough to the French Quarter that we walked everywhere. We felt safe walking home every evening from Frenchmen Street as that seemed to be always where our nights ended. We had a tiny, but very comfrotable room as we were there to sleep but only...

Recently, I was given the gift of a New Orleans trip and landed at the front door of the Royal Street Courtyard ~ the door opened and we were greeted by Phillip Lege and David Smith. The bed and breakfast is beautifully appointed and opens your mind to the New Orleans experience. My room was large and very comfortable ~...

I was there from February 14th to the 21st and I had an amazing time. Phillip recommended great places to eat and he was right every time. The b&b was beautiful and I loved the hot tub. My room was gorgeous and you can't beat the location, so close to the French Quarter, but away from the insanity so I...

I can't believe it's taken me almost a year to write this review - but better late than never. My stay at the Royal Street Courtyard last June was everything I hoped and dreamed it would be. I had joked with Phillip before I got there that I had never seen so many positive reviews on TripAdvisor and would I...

I spent ages pouring over B&B's on trip advisor and visiting websites and became totally confused. In the end I chose this one and hoped for the best and the best, luckily is what I got. David and Phillip are very friendly, helpful and, well, lovely. I travelled alone and despite the warnings to take taxis home at night, I...

Staying in Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Neighbourhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
