We enjoyed a suite with bed in loft for a week. Sweet efficiency with laundry access. We're budget travelers and enjoyed the national park locations. The national parks provide the best toilets in the French Quarter. The Plaza backs up to very pleasant Fulton Street alley/pedestrian walkway. Warehouse district seemed like a well kept neighborhood. WWII Museum and French Quarter...

Got this location through RCI for 5 nights. Entrance not much to look at (it's in the Warehouse District), but 2nd/3rd floors very attractive. Accommodations small but adequate. Only problem was creaky floors (room above us) and also could hear other voices at night. The location was was convenient.

My wife and I spent a wonderful week in New Orleans at the Plaza Suite Hotel Resort. The hotel is in a historic building two blocks from Canal Street on the opposite side from the French Quarter. The hotel was very nice. The rooms were very nice, clean and had a king size bed that was very comfortable. There was...

The location of the property is excellent. It's very easy to get to the French Quarter and any of the major sights. It's clean and comfortable but it could use some redecorating. I wish they would get rid of all the plastic flowers. With that said, I would have no problem going back.

My husband and I had a great time and enjoyed staying at the Plaza Suite Hotel Resort. It is within walking distance of the Convention Center. I was attending a Mary Kay Conference in New Orleans for 4 days and it was great that I didn't have to get a taxi. It was within walking distance of the WWII Museum,...

This resort is great. It is located just a few blocks from the French Quarter in the warehouse district. There are many fun bars and restaurants just steps away from the resort. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are very nice and comfortable.

We stayed three nights and four days. We found the staff friendly and helpful. Our room, 311, had a window and a loft up a circular staircase (that would have been difficult to negotiate with a large suitcase). The room was clean and well-maintained and we enjoyed it for the time we were there. Wi-Fi was strong and fast the...

Hotel has gone down a great deal over the past few years. Used to stay here a lot but the quality has gone down while the price has gone up. Rooms are dated and plumbing was an issue. Interior rooms have no natural light and you feel "enclosed". Balcony rooms have natural lighting and feel open but still have issues...

Right outside our door, there is a big area that had big boxes sitting there for the whole time. Area doesn't look too inviting. Air Conditioning was Very loud. While in our unit, we could hear people talking somewhere but that actually didn't bother me.Room was rather dim--needs a lot more lights. Updates needed Staff was nice and helpful. Parking...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
