Our stay at this hotel was great! Clean hotel, recently opened, friendly staff. Only complaints were the timeliness of the cleaning staff and loud neighbors. We would leave our room early in the morning and come back around 4pm and our room was not cleaned not one day before 4pm. We had to turn the maid away twice because we...

Thank you for choosing to stay at our new, European inspired AC Hotel New Orleans Bourbon with your friends. We appreciate you pointing out our close proximity to the French Quarter, yet far enough away to be quiet, makes us one of the most desirable hotels in the area. However, I am sorry to hear that your bathroom had some...

You're first greeted by an overwhelming perfume scent in the lobby that I assume is meant to evoke a classy atmosphere but all it does is overwhelm the entire hotel with a strong scent that is a bit nauseating. The rooms are simply, odd. The floor is a fake, plastic floating floor that is really slippery (be careful). The bathroom...

So as a frequent business traveler to NOLA, I've stayed at every downtown Marriott property; this by far is my favorite. AC is the European brand for Marriott and definitely has a European feel. The rooms are cozy and modern and they have web enabled tvs so you can't bing on Netflix if you can't get out of bed. The...

We stayed at this hotel during Easter weekend (3 nights). 10 minutes walk to Bourbon street, 5 min walk to St Charles streetcar. Very nice hotel, ask for a quiet room facing the back. The ladies in the breakfast room are very friendly. Taxi to/from the airport fixed price at $35.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
