Stayed here twice now. I like the location and the service and staff are ok. Just needs to step up to be at the higher end. Floors in the room feel cheap. Bathroom door is trying to be cute but doesn't close all the way. Temperature in the room is hard to get correct. Overall a good stay at a... More

This is the best hotel we've stayed at in New Orleans - and we've stayed in a few! It's on the edge of the French Quarter so it's close to the action, but it's really nice and quiet. Really comfortable rooms with great bathrooms - felt nice and spacious compared to some of the tiny places that are on offer... More

The hotel was very jazzy and modern. It's a European concept hotel and AC is for the developer. Rooms were clean and the staff was very nice and helpful. Walking distance to the Super dome or even the French Quarter.

We spent Labor Day weekend in NOLa for my husbands birthday. Our adult son joined us. After reading reviews was not sure what to think about our room, we were pleasantly surprised. Very comfortable, the bathroom was set up for privacy. The staff was very accommodating. Went to the bar every evening before heading to bed, Erika is a phenomenal... More

I am a Gold Member of the Marriott Hotel Chain. The company has been superb to me for years. My experience at the AC Marriott, New Orleans was depressing and hallway was dark and very dingy from the elevator to Room 619. I thought I had entered a jail cell inside the grey and dirt brown interior. Most appealing was... More

The hotel is in a very good location in terms of proximity to Bourbon and Canal streets (as in one block away). The hotel is ultra modern and the hallways feel very 'cold' and dark. When I say cold I do not mean temperature. Some of the staff are very nice and some can act disinterested and can make you... More

If this is a typical AC, I will not be staying at another one. Staff at the front desk left much to be desired. Room was clean but the bathroom was not designed properly. A square sink had built up in the corners. Light switch on inside wall - no way to put it on the outside wall. Bathtub had... More

Not on the high end of hotels but great hotel for the price, only a block walk to the French quarter but far enough away you do not hear the noise. The public transportation is right outside the hotel and gets you to sightsee most of the city for only $3.00 for a 24 hour pass, a good deal for... More

My husband and I were in town for 4 days for a friends wedding. I have been to New Orleans well over a dozen times and this is the first time we've stayed here. It will definitely be our last. Our first room was so narrow and small and we were stunned that there is NO closet (just a metal... More

We enjoyed our weekend girls trip stay at the AC Hotel. The hotel is very nice with modern rooms. There was not very much room to get ready for 3 girls. The hotel did not have a closet in our room. It was a very small rack to hang clothes on above a safe. The hotel offered free coffee in... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
