My son and I spent a long weekend at the HHH and loved it -- a beautifully restored Henry Howard-designed mansion in the Garden District. Just a block from St. Charles and trolley into French Quarter and 10 minute walk to Commander's Palace and Magazine Street for District Donuts, shopping, restaurants, along tree-lined streets and past some of the most...

The Henry Howard Hotel was a welcoming gem in an amazing location. The Garden District offered new shops, restaurants, and sites we hadn't seen in New Orleans while still being close to the French Quarter. The Hotel is newly renovated with large ceilings, clean rooms, and a relaxing beautiful bar area. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and helped us...

The Henry Howard Hotel is a beautiful hotel in a great location. The coffee is amazing in the morning, and the overnight staff seemed friendly when we came back from our evening drinks. The rooms are well done, though minimal in regards to countertop space. Super tall ceilings, and the beds were amazing! The bad review is due to the...

This hotel was charming, with a beautiful blend of historic details and furnishings with a clean modern aesthetic. A lovely boutique hotel in the Garden District. Super conveniently located, close to the street car and walking distance to magazine street yet more than far enough from the insanity of the Quarter. The staff is warm and friendly, the rooms are comfortable and it's as stylish as it is welcoming.

This is a fabulous boutique hotel. It was very clean, and the staff went above and beyond. I even met the owner on my way out and she was so kind. A nighttime surprise of cookies on my bedside table was the cherry on top. I highly recommend staying here.

Lots of little nice touches and great style. Love the location and this is from someone who went to Tulane. Highly recommend for a couple. Perhaps too quiet with multiple kids but great experience all the way.

Staying in Garden District

Neighbourhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
