We just left our visit from NOLA and stayed at the Lookout. It was absolutely PERFECT. The room was super clean and comfy. We brought blankets and such bc we are on a road trip and have had some not so great experiences with cleanliness... But this place was pristine. Id definitely say the innkeeper goes above and beyond to...

Needed a last minute place for one extra night as our hotel in French Quarter was booked up. Took a chance through a second party booking agency and so very glad we did. Admittedly we were nervous as we drove through the neighborhoods - at one point almost said cancel. So glad we didn't, found this Inn to be perfect...

This property is not close to downtown but has easy access to buses right outside the door. For our group (rented the whole house) we switched up from walking back and forth from downtown and busing or cabbing it around. The property itself is wonderful. All the rooms are cute and look exactly like the many pictures found on the...

Very clean inside and out with a great sitting area in the back yard, that also has a small pool! Innkeeper was friendly and accommodating. There are lots of restaurants and bars...

Stayed at the Lookout Inn in the wonderful Bywater neighborhood while visiting NOLA for a few days. The Elvis Suite fit my needs perfectly and was cute in every way. Plenty of room with a pull out futon and queen size bed. The Elvis decorations made it even better with the decorative hubcaps, hair dryer chair, and motifs all over...

WE booked here to stay after our cruise for 4 nights. We were getting married during that time & staying here was perfect. The room was spacious but cozy & the hot tub was great. The bathtub was wonderful for a long soak. Kelly even brought a bottle of champagne to celebrate. It's close to everything & will definitely be...

Staying in Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Neighbourhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
