I have been a guest of the Garden District B&B several times over the last nine years and have stayed in every room at least once. Each room is unique and has different qualities to recommend it (i.e., the Martha room's balcony, the elegant charm of the Rose room, the Patio room's private courtyard, etc.). I have recommended this B&B... More

We arrived on a Friday night to attend a wedding Saturday at noon. Our Saturday was lovely. We stayed cozy in the porch room on an oddly cold weekend. The morning we were scheduled to depart, my husband found our vehicle had been hit overnight. It was totaled. We were an hour from our home and needed to begin the... More

Thanks for staying with us and for your review. We will always look out for our guests' best interest and help them in any way we can. In our 10 years of operating the B&B, this was the first time that a guest owned vehicle had ever been damaged. Magazine St is a busy street, but we don't consider it... More

Stayed here for 3 nights in early September. Truly is a wonderful place. Excellent location right in the heart of the Garden District. Magazine street Po Boy shop is a must, as is Joey K's restaurant nearby. Raynell is a wonderful host, happy to help & advise with her wealth of local knowledge. A good walk to the city, but... More

Stayed 4 nights here on Magazine Street in the Garden District, New Orleans. Review below "What a Find" says it all and we can confirm from experience, just like she says!! Raynelle and Luis were very welcoming, we had the Patio room with its own entry so only saw them if we had a query or by chance. The "room... More

Spent two nights here in the Rose Room in celebration of our anniversary. Raynell was very friendly and very informed about things to do and places to eat in the area. Had several guide books on New Orleans. Wi-fi was available as well as a computer in the lobby for guest use. The private kitchen adjoining our room had a... More

Although this was our first time at the B + B, Raynell greeted us as if we had come home. Her friendly, helpful way of welcoming you to your room is terrific. She offered helpful information for our stay in the neighborhood, lots of restaurants and shops up and down the street. It still felt very safe and was a... More

A friend and I just returned from a four-night stay at the Garden District B and B and we loved it. I can't wait to come here again, and I spent quite a lot of time imagining that it was my apartment. It was even bigger and better than it looked online. We stayed in the Patio Suite, which has... We've been to NOLA many times & always stayed either in or near the Fr Qtrs....NEVER again! The garden district is a much more enjoyable location. The St. Charles Street Car is a 5 block walk through a display of magnificent homes. Watch out for the dicey sidewalks while gawking at these homes, I tripped more than once. The bus... More

We are staying in the Patio Room at this charming bed and breakfast. Like others, we like the unusual experience of staying at a B N B rather than a sterile hotel room. The house has plenty of charm and it is very clean and comfortable. We love the small screened in porch on the back of this room that... More

We just returned from a three night stay at the Garden District B&B on Magazine Street. Staying in Garden District

Neighbourhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
