The hotel was perfect for us. Walking distance to everything. The hotel breakfast was good, loved the sausage it was the best. Bourbon street is not our thing, far too seedy. So thanks to a wonderful concierge, Eddie Conrad, he directed us to the more sophisticated jazz venues just off of Bourbon Street. Rooms are large and clean. A good...

The proximity to the French quarter, convention center, warehouse district and highways is very good. It is a converted warehouse/factory building. The interior layout is jumbled. The room was average and somewhat small for the price. My wife like the color scheme. The weekday price was fine. The Friday night increase in price was a detriment to staying there again....

The Country Inn brand tends to conjure images of a highway off-ramp on the way to your great aunt's house in the center of the country. This Country Inn is nothing like that. It really is a delightful boutique hotel, situated perfectly in New Orleans. We were in town for a conference and the hotel is conveniently located within walking...

Thank you for the kind words! We definitely are unique within the Country Inn portfolio, being in a downtown location with a historically significant building to host our guests. We definitely think it provides a great, unique, New Orleans experience.

I am glad to know you had a 5 star experience with us! One of the best parts of our location is the close proximity to so many attractions, and easy access to all the unique neighborhoods. It definitely makes it convenient to explore and find the right New Orleans experience for anyone! Hopefully you get to return, and we...

I loved our experience. Walking in, it has that old NOLA feel with dark wood and chandeliers. Front desk is super friendly and helpful, we received nothing but great service from all the hotel staff. They even mailed us a missing shoe! The room was basic but functional. The beds were comfortable. The free happy hour was great but be...

The country inn and suites was a great, modern, fashion forward and beautifully decorated hotel. The staff was amazing. My family was visiting and stayed at a different hotel a few nights but had a reservation here for the remainder of the trip. They arrived really early at the hotel and was able to store luggage and check in extremely...

Stayed 4 nights. The room's temp was fantastic, and I was amazed to only be woken once by a loud drunk returning from the madness. Free breakfast every morning was awesome and that part of the staff and the boys outside handling the bags are the nicest. The people at the front desk were OK, but not overly friendly, besides...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
