My family stayed at Marigny Manor House for a long weekend. There were six (6) of us - all adults. The rooms were beautiful and one just recently renovated. The beds were very comfortable and the linens luxurious. I loved staying in a 170 year old house that felt like home. The location was perfect - a short walk down...

Marigny Manor House was perfect B&B for long weekend trip to New Orleans. This beautiful old home is located very close to great music clubs on Frenchman street! Alvin and Brian are the perfect hosts, welcoming us to their much beloved city. The Dauphine room was very comfortable and roomy with all amenities and lovely view over spa/garden area. Breakfast...

My husband and I had never been to New Orleans and it was a last minute decision to go. We looked at a lot of places to stay and chose this one because of the excellent reviews and after speaking to Alvin on the phone. Both Alvin and Brian are excellent hosts and made us feel right at home. We...

My husband and I were on a two week road trip, just before Thanksgiving. We only had two nights in each location along the way and settled on Marigny Manor House for NOLA. Truly, we can't say enough about our stay with Brian and Alvin. As soon as you walk through the doors of this elegant house, you are made...

Me and my fiancé had never stayed at a b&b and I did lots of research before choosing where we'd stay on vaca. I'm not one to just eat a croissant for breakfast so the breakfast was a huge factor for me, most I had read about only provided some croissant or something small for breakfast, but they went above...

Our 6 day stay in NOLA was over the top wonderful. The main reason was our accommodations.... The Bourbon Room was classic luxury with a private balcony. The location was a very short walk to Frenchmen street with the best music and certainly walk-able to anywhere in the French Quarter. Our hosts made sure we had everything we needed and...

My new wife and I came to Marigny Manor on the first leg of our honeymoon. Alvin and Brian were amazingly accommodating, cooking a delicious breakfast every morning, giving us the rundown of the city and a map, suggestions on what to do, it was great. They really make you feel like you're coming "home" after your trips out to...

What a great place to stay in Marigny -- a beautiful house, clean rooms, and two charming hosts. This place was perfect for our group of friends who stayed on Halloween weekend, just a short walk from Frenchman Street where all the action is. Two special things: I'd like to point out that the bed in my room, Chartres, was...

The manor house is conveniently located within walking distance of the French Quarter and the restaurants and jazz clubs at the southern end of Frenchman St in the Marigny. The Marigny itself is a charming area to walk around in. The house is beautifully restored and quite elegant. Brian and Alvin are very gracious hosts who take pride in their...

Thanks for taking the time to write a review! We noticed the sink pressure drop last week, something we can work with until it's corrected. Sorry we didn't know it was a complaint, as we would have offered you a different room. Our plumber is scheduled to come out this coming week to address the sink's water pressure as it...

Staying in Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Neighbourhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
