My friends and I drove to New Orleans from Houston.
We arrived about 6AM . The desk person allowed us to access the parking garage( we were checking in at 3 PM)
The suite we had was nice, clean . Had a refrigerator, microwave.
With IHG Rewards Club perks, we stayed 2 nights at Staybridge Suites completely on membership points (i.e. not a dollar spent). It's your ideal family-friendly downtown/French Quarters hotel.

First of all, thank you for being an IHG Rewards Club Member! It sounds like you really got to enjoy all of its well deserved perks during your recent visit with us in the Big Easy! I am elated that we were able to wow...More
Stayed 5 nights in the Staybridge Suites. Couldn't fault it. I cant relate to recent negative review as I found hotel to be clean, comfortable, with friendly staff and in a great location minutes walk from the French Quarter. A bit dated perhaps but didn't...More
When you walk the front desk does not want to deal with you. They are annoyed if you ask them a question, just bad attitude. The room smells bad and for the price you can find a much nicer place. We decided to leave and...More

Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts
District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
