Four old friends stayed at Casa Conchita in mid-May 2012. It was marvellous in all ways -- beautifully appointed, Connie is a wonderful host, available and helpful, and the location could not be better since it is near the FQuarter but also near local music on Frenchmen St. and in an actual viable neighborhood. We can't wait to go back....

This place was everything we wanted and more - excellent location in the Marigny right down the street from all the clubs on Frenchmen, but still quiet and private; big and comfortable and fully equipped; lovely relaxing courtyard. And Connie was a great host - very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended! We'll be back.

My wife and I stayed with another couple at the Casa Conchita for the BCS National Championship game in January, 2012. The accomodations were incredible and everything that we wanted to do was easily within walking distance. Connie was great to work with and bent over backwards to make sure that we had everything that we needed. I would highly...

Casa Conchita is the perfect location to enjoy New Orleans life - located in "one of the best neighborhoods in the US" (http://www.faubourgmarigny.org/awards_apa.htm ). We were only a few minutes from the restaurants and bars on Frenchman Street, easy walking distance to all the amenities in the French Quarter and just across the street from beautiful, historic Washington Square Park....

First of all, the location cannot be beat. Around the corner from all the music on Frenchmen St. and close enough to the Quarter to walk (but still far enough away to not have to deal with the touristy commotion). Connie's place was perfect for the large group that came down for Memorial Day weekend. We rented out both the...

I traveled to New Orleans for a week stay over New Years 2010-2011 with four of my good friends, and this was the perfect place for us. It was great being within just a short walk of the French Market, as well as all of the bars, restaurants, and other attractions. Connie and her husband were more than welcoming, and...

I have stayed at Casa Conchita four times, each time in the second floor, two-bedroom/two-bath unit. The bedrooms are well-appointed (one king, one queen). The queen bedroom has a bathroom with shower stall; the king bedroom has a beautiful tub with hand shower. Linens and towels are top-notch. The kitchen is spacious, with gas burners and plenty of knives and...

This is our second stay at Casa Conchita and we love it here. The first time we stayed in the second floor unit, which has lots of character and a long full kitchen that has windows opening out into the courtyard so you can hear the fountain at night. This time we're staying in the lower unit and it is...

We attended our son's graduation and wanted a place near the Quarter. I was lucky to find this and when we arrived absolutely delighted. From its location, to its decor, and from the patio to the Frenchman St. proximity, we so enjoyed this beautiful Creole cottage. When we stepped into the home the lovely smell of the cypress woodwork and...

My family came in from out of town to visit, and decided that it would be cheaper to rent than go to a hotel with 5 people. Once they got to the house, they loved it! It is fully decorated, and fully stocked. It is also in a great location if you want to see the French Quarter, or listen...

Staying in Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Neighbourhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
