When their motto is that this hotel was part saint and part sinner, they were not kidding. On the good end were their employees. They have an absolutely first rate staff, always friendly, and always helpful. They are so good, that I really wish I could give the hotel an excellent rating. However, the negatives are so bad, I simply... More

First, the Saint has some unique aspects to the hotel: modern, simple naughty/saintly branding, nice Art, a red bar (super cool and fun) and great coffee. I loved staying here. The Ritz Carlton is next door and it was always good for me to walk next door and have brunch at the M-cafe then continue on with my day. Second,... More

We recently booked a stay at The Saint Hotel with our teenaged kids for Thanksgiving holiday. My husband booked it and although it was a cute little boutique hotel I would not recommend going with kids as the decor is more suited for couples. The beds have Naughty and Nice on the blankets, etc. Hallways are very dimly lit with... More

The ambiance really set the tone for a bachelor/bachelorette weekend. The hotel is modernly decorated and the location is a few blocks from Bourbon. The front desk were helpful especially with friends who were checking into the room under my name. The showers were big and the rooms were clean. A few of the negatives were the beds/bedding. I could... More

Great location right by bourbon street. Really interesting decor in the lobby and service was fine at the front desk. The room was pleasantly comfortable - I had a room on canal street and was afraid it was going to be loud all nght, but no issues. The room itself was getting a little dated, some damage on things throughout.... More

My new husband and I stayed in a lovely room with a view of Canal Street! We didn't notice any noise from the street on the eighth floor. The hotel is gorgeously, tastefully, and at times, vibrantly decorated with thoughtful, not run-of-the-mill pictures, fabrics, lighting. The flat screens in the elevators playing jazz excerpts was a unique touch and one... More

This hotel is only a few blocks away from Bourbon Street and the French Quarter so it was easy to walk to all of the sites in the French quarter. We parked our car and never used it while in NOLA. The hotel parking is pricey, but I think pretty standard for the location of this hotel. The red cable... More

We stayed at The Saint while my husband attended a conference next door. The location is excellent, a short walk from the Quarter, Street Car stop, The River, restaurants etc. For New Orleans, the room was really quite large, my only complaint about the room is that there is no full length mirror. The hallways are very dark, lit only... More

I stayed here for a couple nights while working in the area. Though the lobby was trendy and fun, I didn't feel that way about the rooms. As soon as I got of the elevator on my floor, I felt uncomfortable. The halls were dark and almost creepy feeling. The room itself was fine with a nice sized bathroom. I... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
