My wife and I stayed at this property for 6 nights earlier this month, May 2017, our first trip to New Orleans. We had a wonderful first visit largely due to the excellent location of SpringHill Suites by Marriott. Not only were we 3 blocks from the World War II Museum, my number 1 “must see,” but it was not...

We travel extensively and prefer Marriott properties, but this was a real letdown. The rooms branded as a "suite" were so tiny there was no room for a dresser or even a luggage stand - we ended up having to partially block access to the bathroom to open our suitcase. There was only one nightstand, and reading lights only on...

Down in New Orleans for a conference at the Convention Center and stayed at the SpringHill Suites as it was close by....a nice easy walk. Liked the hotel, friendly staff, and I'd definitely stay here again.

We were here for a birthday/mother's day/girls' getaway for 2 nights. Check in was quick and easy. We were first assigned a ground floor unit and it was on the street. Like literally, you looked out the window and people were walking by the window and could look into your room if the curtains were open. We quickly returned to...

Nice front desk staff, good sized room ok breakfast. But really not a pleasant place. You enter through the garage!! No kidding. Decor is really out dated!! No room safes! Luggage held in the lobby behind chairs while waiting for a room. Mold in the tub. You have to shimmy around the end of the bed beside the closet AND...

Been here two nights and still in room. No evidence of housekeeping staff in hotel. Room has not been cleaned and we are on night three. Hallways trashed, elevator has sticky dirty floors. Front desk says sorry but no evidence of management. Supervisor walked away when I went to talk to registration staff. Marriott platinum member but finding the Hilton...

We stayed at this hotel from 4/23/17 - 4/26/17. The room smelled a little musty when we first arrived but throughout the stay it was much better. The staff at the front desk were AMAZING!! Tiffany Hunter, Gariuan Hampton and Oschelle (I forgot her last name :-( ) were awesome!! Very friendly, patient and helpful!! Since this was our first...

French Quarter Festival trip. Rooms are fair-sized with decent amenities. Had a couch, a wet bar, microwave and refrigerator. You can store and prepare some food if you are so inclined. Showers are hot. Water was plentiful. Bed and linens were comfortable. Plenty of food in the breakfast provided, but, man, it is sure crowded down there in the mornings....

The whole hotel needs updating. The rooms need freshening up. The bathrooms could use new fixtures. Both toilet and tub got stuck and had to be fixed. The breakfast was plentiful but too repetitive for 4 days. The parking is quite expensive $40/day. Cheaper to park on street at night (free) at least during low tourist season.

I stayed at this hotel with my husband and 3 daughters for 4 nights/ 5 days. I was not very impressed with it at first because when we arrived the room had a musty smell to it, but went away after we turned on the AC unit. One night I killed a roach crawling on the carpet but the following...

Staying in Arts District / Warehouse District

Neighbourhood Profile
Arts District / Warehouse District
Once a thriving industrial zone, today this district is home to a buzzing arts scene with an amazing assortment of galleries, boutiques, and studios having moved in and set up shop throughout the disused warehouses for which the area is so well known. Much of the art you'll come across here is local in scope, ownership and inspiration. However, among the many old brick warehouses are modern structures of steel and glass housing large-scale cultural institutions of national prominence such as the National World War II Museum, the Contemporary Arts Center, and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Just as eye catching as what’s on view inside the galleries and museums is the chance to see your ship come in at the Julia Street Cruise Terminal, which serves as a wistful reminder of the city’s historic maritime prominence.
