This place is located about 4-5 blocks from the Quarter. If you can figure the bus line (not trolley) there are bus stops pretty convenient to the inn. This was a really cute place to stay and the staff was really friendly. They have a continental breakfast in the open courtyard. Street parking and side entrance. I will definitely be...

We called Thursday to confirm, left a voicemail, no one returned the call, so i called back the morning of check-in to confirm our reservations for room 201. We stayed in the queen and king bed room last year. We have stayed in other various rooms at this hotel for the past 6 years. We like the location, and that...

I chose to stay an extra night in New Orleans and was looking for something less costly than the 504 on Canal Street. Found Olde Town Inn and fell in love. The location is excellent as you can walk to the most vibrant area for music and genuine entertainment in the city, aka Frenchmen Street. Brought a rental car, which...

Booked this hotel as a last minute weekend trip for New Years. Even with holiday pricing it was very reasonable, but our expectations were low based on 2 star rating and other reviews. We were quite surprised with the quality of the room, it wasn't spectacular, but for a 2 star it was modestly current in finishout. Room was comfortable...

We booked a night on our road trip in December. Ended up staying two. Location is very good. 5 min walk to Frenchman st. and about 10 min walk to Burbon st. Neighborhood seemed safe and we had no problems parking in front of the hotel every night. Room was clean and warm (5 degrees C outside). Heated by AC...

The experience was great, we had no trouble. We also were not expecting a 5 star hotel. We were driving through heading to Florida and stayed one night only. A local walked with us towards Bourbon Street as we were heading to listen to some jazz at Preservation Hall. The walk was lovely, felt safe. We were told to Uber...

We stayed at this hotel as we were attending a conference. It was about a 15 minute walk to Bourbon street. This place is poor. It's in a good location but it has lots of problems. We came in a group of 8 and 2 left after the first night because it was too noisy and not good enough. I...

The hotel itself was nice and the owner was lovely. Rooms had a little of improving to do, not all the plug sockets worked, door to the bathroom broke and the shared room I stayed in didn't have air conditioning in all sections. I also had a brand new bottle of perfume stolen from my bag whilst we were out...

We got a very good deal for this accommodation. I don't know if that is what you normally get or if it was a special discount, but we got a lovely and cosy old-fashinoned suite with two king size beds and a separate kitchen and a living room with just a really good motel price (weekdays, not weekend though). The...

Staying in Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Neighbourhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
