I love this hotel and always stay here during Mardi Gras. The location is swell because it is not right in the French Quarter. The advantage to this is you can still walk into the French Quarter and go shopping at the stores on the main drag, but you are not having the problems getting a taxi or Uber to...

If you are embarking on a cruise ship from New Orlean, Hilton Garden Inn is a convenient choice for your overnight stay. As a Hilton Honors member, HGI is my go to stay over when traveling. You can't beat the Breakfast Buffet and those cushy beds! A good night's sleep is gauranteed! This particular location was only steps away from...

Myself & my boyfriend came in town for some the parade fun this past weekend. The city was wonderful, the actual stay at the hotel was great the reason I'm taking two stars away is because of the Front Desk manager named Karine Williams. When we checked in everything was ok our room was ready on time so we were...

Very poor, and way over priced. The room was not worth the $600 they charged us due to the NBA being in town. We were not aware of that at the time I booked the room. That is really gouging the consumer. The bed was hard, the staff was not friendly. In the morning the coffee urns were empty and...

Great location and not too far from all the major attractions. This location was close to the Port of New Orleans and that was the main reason that we were in town. The added bonus was the nearby location for the Mardi Gras parade on St. Charles St. We were able to walk to the parade.

Had a tremendous dinner at the hotel restaurant. Food exceeded my expectation and service was great. The chef, Mr. Kenny, came out himself to check on us. His gumbo was fantastic, and he brought out some extra French bread to accompany. Delicious! And our server Rae, plus host Terrell were fantastic. They checked on us, kept our drinks topped off,...

I chose this hotel because it is very close to the convention center. The service is very satisfying as well. The breakfast was pretty good and the waiter was very helpful. The dinner was not as good for my experience because my simple order of salad took over 20 mins. Otherwise, everything else was fine.

Hotel and room were pretty good, however, when we checked in we were informed that it would cost $44 to park our car! Yes, $44!! Then our toilet didn't function properly and the seat was loose. When getting ready for bed, we discovered that the sink didn't drain. In fairness to the hotel, we didnt report this until we checked...

Excellent staff in every department! 10/10 service. Any job within the hospitality industry is straining, but everyone there had a smile and was ready to help me or simply just greet me down the hall :)

We stayed here the night before a cruise and were very pleased. It's about a 15 minute walk to Jackson Square and about 5 minutes to the National WW II museum. The staff was very friendly and helpful. On-street parking is free until 8 AM, if you don't want to pay the $40 valet fee.

Staying in Arts District / Warehouse District

Neighbourhood Profile
Arts District / Warehouse District
Once a thriving industrial zone, today this district is home to a buzzing arts scene with an amazing assortment of galleries, boutiques, and studios having moved in and set up shop throughout the disused warehouses for which the area is so well known. Much of the art you'll come across here is local in scope, ownership and inspiration. However, among the many old brick warehouses are modern structures of steel and glass housing large-scale cultural institutions of national prominence such as the National World War II Museum, the Contemporary Arts Center, and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Just as eye catching as what’s on view inside the galleries and museums is the chance to see your ship come in at the Julia Street Cruise Terminal, which serves as a wistful reminder of the city’s historic maritime prominence.
