Top 5 Reasons We Keep Coming Back to The Green House Inn: 1. Level of Service from the staff is amazing. Jessie, Frank, and the rest of the staff are authentic, helpful, and down to earth. Our room was always clean. They truly want you to have a relaxing vacation and go out of your way to make sure you...

We have been there twice in less than six months, and as soon as we leave, we start looking for when we can come back again. The location is prefect, four blocks from the World War 2 Museum and Emeril's Delmonico. You can walk to the French Quarter or avoid the tourists by walking down Magazine to explore the Lower...

My wife & I really enjoyed our stay at The Green House Inn. It is a beautifully restored old mansion, that has retained it character and typical of the entire lovely city! The breakfast each morning was great and served in a lovely room that was most enjoyable to spend time in. Our room was very nice too as was...

I've stayed at the Green House Inn multiple times. It's a fantastic oasis in New Orleans, close to the French Quarter and also the lovely Lower Garden District and fashionable Magazine Street corridor. The pool area is incredible - tropical, beautifully-decorated, verdant and peaceful. When the hubbub of New Orleans gets to be too much, the pool deck and shaded...

Thanks for the hospitality at the Green House Inn. The area was great and the staff was wonderful!! I loved sitting in the hot tub and the pool area was beautiful. I loved going downstairs and having breakfast in the dining room. I will be back next year for sure!

This was the first time that I stayed outside of the French Quarter area, and it was great! The neighborhood was quiet but still had some great restaurants and bars in the area. The St. Charles streetcar and numerous busses were a short walk away. A cab or Uber ride from the quarter was less than $10. If you like...

If your goal is to spend time relaxing in a paradise then this is for you. The pool area is beautiful. Rooms are clean and airy. The historic house is centrally located. Conveniently located in the lower garden district. Bike, walk, street car gets you there. We have stayed here 6 or 7 times. Losing track--we love it so much....

Jesse and Frank were great. Location was great, I walked to convention area daily (20 minutes). Great nearby restaurants (Peche for fancy and FatBoys for lunch). Pool was nice. Good midway location between French Quarter and Uptown/ Zoo. Can't wait to come back.

We visited New Orleans in Spring 2017. Everything was excellent: the welcoming communication, clean and stylish place, privacy, loved pool and jacuzzi. Definitely recommended for couples, business or solo to spend time while in New Orleans.

Staying in Garden District

Neighbourhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
