The Drury Inn & Suites was a great place to stay while attending the Essence Festival in July 2015 & 2016! Wanted to book again this year (2017) but it's all booked up to capacity and I can't get a room! Bummed about that, but this hotel is highly recommended. The room and common areas were very clean, it's centrally...

My boyfriend and I traveled to New Orleans for a long weekend to see the Billy Joel Concert. We didn't get to the hotel until after 1030pm but Star was incredibly sweet and helpful upon our checkin. The room was clean and the staff was all very nice. The location of the hotel is definitely a highlight as it is...

After a very poor experience at our previous hotel, this place was like a breath of fresh air. Check in was quick & easy and the clerk automatically upgraded us to a suite even though we checked in early. Cost was very reasonable. The location was very convenient to many of the popular areas of New Orleans. The bed was...

The location of the hotel was safe and clean. The staff were helpful and accommodating. The free breakfast and happy hour was a nice touch. The rooms were smaller and my view was limited. The bed and pillows sufficed. Amenities in the washroom were standard to other hotels. What was nice was there weren't rowdy guests so it was quiet...

This is a great place to stay. Right in the heart of the Business District. Short easy walk to everything, especially the World War II Museum. On site valet parking is added charge but worth it. Wonderful grocery market one block away Rouses. Hop on/Hop off stop across the street. No street people to bug you, near by. Great price...

We stayed here for a short vacation and were quite pleased. Comfortable, clean room. Helpful staff and good breakfasts. They also had the freebies in the evenings but we were never back in time. Valets were helpful and the manager was always out helping guests. This was a good home base while we were exploring the city and all it's...

This Drury Inn is located in the center of most attractions in the downtown area. We were able to walk to the Smoothie King Center (10-15 blocks), which means the Superdome and Champion Square are just that close as well. The Street Car is only about a block away from the front door. The WWII Museum as well as the...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
