When you stay at a hotel IN the French Quarter you expect a few things. Parking is rough. Elevators are slow. AC can't keep up with the heat. It's loud 24/7. The Courtyard has many of these same issues but to a much lesser degree than other places I've stayed. That's just what you get staying in the French Quarter...

Comfortable rooms and a good sitting area, annoying and noisy sliding doors to the bedroom and bathroom. It has a carpark like ground floor entrance with elevator to the first floor reception, very helpful staff, and I would return again......

We have just had 9 nights at the Courtyard Iberville. Got free upgrade to 1 bedroom suite. Great rooms, nice shower, the sliding barn doors are a nice feature. friendly staff. rooms serviced daily. only $1 each for washer and dryer. handy to every thing but just far enough from Bourbon. check out Dauphine ! Daily specials at lobby bar....

This was my 4th trip to NOLA, 3rd that required a hotel stay; I haven't stayed in the same place twice. That being said, I've always preferred the Lower Quarter; the proximity to the things I like to do is just much more convenient. However, this is a very adequate location; it's just not centrally located. What does set the...

My daughter, grandson, and I returned to this hotel recently because of our great stay last year. In addition to an ideal location in the French Quarter, very close to Bourbon Street (we felt very safe walking back and forth) but far enough away that it is peaceful, the Courtyard Iberville continues to provide a fabulous staff, totally dedicated to...

We enjoyed our stay at the Courtyard by Marriott - French Quarter. The room was lovely (1 bedroom suite) with a very nice sitting area (sofa and chair, desk, large screen tv, bar sink, refrigerator, coffee maker). I would describe the room as a modernized, but older facility....however, I suspect that everything in this area is older. A nice bathroom,...

Excellent accommodations. The place was clean and modern. The room set up was great with a separate living and sleeping areas separated by a bathroom. There were 2 flat screen TV's. It was clean and fresh. The whole hotel was a credit to the city. Personnel were courteous and helpful. We shall return.

Nice room. Easy access to Bourbon street area, mall near the Missisipu river. Accessible transportation. Many restaurants and bars. Relatively safe area. Shops and mini supermarkets around the corner.

Walk two blocks and you're at the beginning of Bourbon Street. You cannot go hungry with all the restaurants and, if you like activity, Bourbon has it, of course. The room is different from any other I've seen at a Courtyard and is very practical. The one issue was that they kept the 10th floor hallway very cold; I suppose...

Hi Tom! Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We're glad that you enjoyed your stay with us, and it sounds like you got to see a lot of New Orleans on your visit. Thank you as well for mentioning the 10th floor hallway A/C. It's a tough balance keeping the top floor at the proper...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
