I loved staying in this hostel, i stayed in a 4 bed private room with 2 of my friends, and it was brilliant! The rooms was clean and tidy, and although it was small, it was cute! For the price, what else would you expect when travelling on a budget? I admit, i'm not surprised to hear that others think...

This "hostel" uses deceptive advertising and false photos to charge for private rooms that don't exist. It has a dangerous amount of debris in the hallways, and puts space heaters in the rooms. It accepts cash only -- can you imagine? Only one dirty bathroom for some 10 dorm rooms leading to a hellish scene in the mornings. No common...

Stayed at this hostel for a few days over new years. Prices jump up a lot with demand for holidays and special events. They were under construction while we stayed, and honestly, the place shouldn’t have had guests. The staff was really nice, but didn’t make up for a lot of the other short comings of the property. The bathroom...

This place was not what some reviews indicated, yes the staff might be nice, have no idea as I didn't want to sit around out the back and drink beer so they never really spoke to us. Its in a ugly area, and unsafe at night, but only cheap a taxi from Bourbon St. Room was ok, bathrooms where terrible,...

Jordan and Kaleb in particular but all of the staff at this hostel are incredible!! Every day they put a plan on a whiteboard of the best 'local' must-see/do's and are more than happy to give top tips and accommodate to everyones need and wants regardless of whether they are on or off duty. I would come back to this...

Small hostel with great atmosphere - good place to meet people from all over the world. Rooms are small but clean and also the bathrooms are very clean. Staff is great and easy and they pick you up complimentary from Greyhoundbus station and Amtrak. We met there very cool people and had an awesome time.

I have a positive feeling with this hostel and I don't mind for the room which is quite dirty and old. It is also reasonable for the cost I pay for. I love all staffs. They are so nice and helpful. This place is the first hostel in my life. It is not too bad if you don't mind about...

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They always try to make you comfortable and give you some good tips. If they don't know how to answer immediately they will at least try to find some extra information for you. The rooms are not too big and the beds not too comfortable, but the hotel has a great atmosphere and...

The staff is friendly and helpful, I really have to give them top marks. The hostel itself is a bit worn down, and could use a renovation, considering the price its very decent though. Location is good, a 20 minute walk from the French quarter.

Small hostel with a home stay feel. Staff are very helpful and friendly, it's just the facilities, it is quite hot in all rooms, and very tight. Doesn't take more than 2 people in the kitchen to feel crowded. Same as in the hallways and laundry. Bathrooms were sufficient enough, and it was cheap enough. Nestled in a ok position...

Staying in Garden District

Neighbourhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.

“The rooms closest to the front door reception can be quite noisy later at night but you are in New Orleans... you should be out enjoying the music every night!”

“My room was on the ground floor, on the main corridor in the hall and it was still a quiet night's sleep. Not so much a room tip, but getting here - the shuttle bus from the airport won't stop here. The closest place they service is St Vincent's Guest House, but they'll direct you to Bourbon House - it's about 10 minutes walk away BUT there's no sign outside, so make sure you remember the number of the hostel. It's right on the corner of Annunciation and Felicity.”
