We stayed here for a family trip using Marriott points since we couldn't find other hotels in the area with 2 beds in the room (other point rooms were all just 1 king or king and sleeper sofa). We really just wanted convenience to the French Quarter, not luxury when we booked the trip, but wow, we were in for...

This Ritz is one of the best. It occupies a square block on the edge of the French Quarter so it is easy access to all of New Orleans with the street cars right in the front of the hotel. The hotel is very modern with all of the amenities you would expect and has an exceptional club floor facility.

This is one of my wife's and my favorite hotels anywhere. It is just beautiful, has a great location, and the staff is absolutely top-notch. In short: everything you expect from a RC. We have stayed at the Ritz NOLA several times, but this was our first visit with our 9 year old daughter. We splurged on an executive suite...

We spent our honeymoon in New Orleans and decided to revisit this beautiful city. Our decision to stay at the Ritz Carlton was the best decision we could have made. Everyone from the valet service to housekeeping made our stay exceptional. Concierge service went out of their way to providing us with lots of help in planning our outings. By...

Great property and location. Safe and secure. Very attentative staff. Always right there to see if they can help. Social event on the 14th floor was very nice and well done. Dinner in the Ball room in the 2nd floor was very good and service was extremely quick. All in all a great experience.

We stayed 5 nights at the Ritz as a part of of Tauck tour. The rooms were elegantly appointed. The bed and bedding were fabulous. We really liked the touch of the Nespresso in the room instead one of the funky little coffee makers that always taste really badly. There was a fabulous courtyard with full bar and meal service....

The most unique club floor of all Ritz-Carlton! We stayed here during Thanksgiving time on a two night stay and used our Club Floor Upgrade via Ritz credit card. This is not the typical club floor on the top level of the property. You will pass a long twisty (yes, very twisty!) hallway and there is door in from of...

The spa was wonderful! Christopher was excellent - best massage in a long time. The facilities are beautiful. The essential oil steam room is fantastic. My skin feels brilliant. The pedicure was wonderful also. I highly recommend the spa!

The R-C in New Orleans is excellent. The rooms are comfortable, the meeting spaces are very well laid out, and the food service is superb. The location is great -near the French Quarter but outside the noise and chaos. All services were top notch. Highly recommended. I'd be happy to stay again.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
