Excellent hotel. The staff is friendly. The service is amazing. The courtyard is a wonderful place to dine or relax. The food was excellent. I especially like the breakfast buffet. We come every year and will continue to do so.

Service was top notch. Staff extremely friendly and welcoming. The Hotel restaurant gave even the most famous New Orleans restaurants a run for their money!! Perfect location for all the main attractions.

Hotel is clean and very nice spaces for wedding weekend. Good location. The wedding reception dinner and brunch were exceptional. The spa amenities are nice, and we enjoyed our services. The jazz bar is a nice late night spot.

I would not stay at this hotel again. The room was not very clean and things were just breaking and falling apart. Our hot water faucet was broken when we checked in and it stayed on while we had to wait for maintenance to fix it at 6am. The glasses were dirty and the room was not clean.

I have stayed in many of Ritz-Carlton's and this one definitely did not meet my exceptions. The courtyard was very beautiful but the hotel felt it was in need of some updating. The service was mediocre and not what you would expect of a Ritz-Carlton.

I love staying at The Ritz-Carlton, but this experience was jot like the many others because of the unpleasant demeanor of several of the front desk staff as well as the concierge, Karen. None of these staff members was friendly or particularly helpful. Karen gave us wrong information and wouldn't make a dinner reservation for us. I went to my...

Excellent experience on recent business trip. Service wonderful. Forgot cell phone cord and next day called and risk control was very professional and located and shipped it back promptly. It was my first stay at Ritz Carlton and would definitely return and recommend to others.

This is a classic hotel with excellent service, spotless housekeeping, quiet rooms (sanctuary from Bourbon St.) and has a great location for those wanting to be close to nightlife. The bar has great service and you get the vibe it's "casually elegant" if there's such a combination. I stayed at a different property the last time I was in NOLA,...

What a delightful place to enjoy live jazz, crafted cocktails and a bite to eat at the bar. The Lounge at the Ritz has a fantastic jazz group. Live music without the crazy that is burbon street. The bananas foster style dessert was amazing.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
