While I might have been able to overlook the worn interior, the long wait to check-in, and the overly pungent floral cleaner smell, I could not overlook a dirty room upon arrival. I had to go to reception and asked for clean sheets after a very long day driving because my bed linen was not clean. The attendant was not... More

The Historic Streetcar Inn is a small, basic hotel built into two neighboring buildings, which I believe are former houses. The rooms are clean and very attractive with hardwood floors and high ceilings. Located on St. Charles Ave., the streetcar runs right in front of the hotel, giving you access to the entire city for only $3 per day. And... More

I had booked a two night stay for 06/09/16 and 06/10/16 and the rooms that I was told were to be available were not the ones that ended up being available. Our room looked like a boarding room at a boarding school. The second day we requested to have our room cleaned and have fresh sheets and towels since our... More

I've never given a review like this but I can honestly say I have never had to. I've never stayed in a place so filthy before, and experienced staff who did absolutely nothing to remedy the situation. I knew this place would be basic, nothing fancy, but the minimum expectation is cleanliness--something the management has control over. The bathroom in... More

At the Historic Streetcar Inn we value all of our guests comments as wew wish to utilize them to enhance our guest experience. We always look to these comments as the real experiences of our guests and try to take away something that we can use as an opportunity to grow our hotel staff's skills. We took a chance on the Historic Streetcar Inn and we are glad that we did. We were assigned to room 18. It was large, clean, and really everything we needed including a fridge and microwave. Btw: our air conditioner worked well, staff was very friendly and we enjoyed our slightly better than continental breakfast. We had no issues with... More

The Historic Streetcar Inn was a nice place, convenient to the Garden District. This is an old property. The AC could be better, but it would cool off enough at night. It was clean and neat. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rate was great, so basically you got what you paid for.

With the street car right out front it is easy to get around from this hotel. They are still working to restore parts of the hotel so there was a smell of laquer but the rooms are charming and beds comfortable. Breakfast was included but we were to tired to get there in time even though they serve until 10.... More

Loved the location; hated the room. I give this hotel two stars for its location, access to streetcars, and the five or six surrounding restaurants which we tried and liked. This place could be a gem but reception, security, and housekeeping were equally horrible! Room #24 was given to us after reception could not find the key to the room... More

My room had no windows. It also had an air conditioner that didn't cool. When I complained about the hot stuffy air I was given a fan. I also had to ask for soap and a plastic cup. Free breakfast food ran out before all guests had eaten. Wifi worked in the hall. This place way overpriced for what you... More

Spent the past two nights there and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We loved the B&B feeling of this historic inn settled in a quaint neighborhood right on the Canal Streetcar line, only minutes away from the French Quarter.
