Rooms were very clean and they had very comfortable beds! This hotel is in a great location! Blocks away from Bourbon Street, and blocks away from the St. Charles Streetcar line. Canal Streetcar was literally right out the front door! Nice ride to City Park! Great friendly staff - concierge was great! Fresh, warm cookie was a great plus at...

Rooms not clean, old furniture--needing updates. Very low countertops and small bathroom. Beds appeared to be an oversized twin bed..not suitable for a couple. Close to convention center and attractions. We were not impressed and would not stay here again.

We used our Hilton Honors points to stay at the Doubletree. The rooms were clean. The furniture was a little worn but nothing major. The location was excellent we were within walking distance of everything we wanted to see. We walked everywhere and didn't really move our vehicle. We ate Brunch on Sunday in the restaurant and it was good...

Suzy, the bartender, is amazing. She even remembered us from a visit 6 months earlier. She jokes, makes a mean drink, and gives great suggestions. We will certainly be back. She manages to make everyone in the bar a family/friends for the night.

Stayed for two nights for work. At $250 a night, I wouldn't expect rust in the bathroom or an awful showerhead that actually hurts to shower. Also, the bathroom at a Motel 6 is probably bigger. Here you almost have to stand on the toilet and then close the bathroom door if you need any privacy. Bathroom counter is also...

Everything was nice, even the warm cookie, but be prepared to hear your neighbors, the walls are thin. Easy walk to the convention center and Burbon street. Friendly people. Bed was comfortable, didn't spend much time in the room, mainly to sleep.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
