Long time Jazzfest visitors, we stayed at the Inn on Ursulines for the first time this April. The rooms were big, clean, and well cared for during our 5 night stay. Location --at the Frenchman Street side of the French Quarter--was perfect for late night music and food. The more came after we left. Seems I left a small bag...

This little gem of a place gets better each time we stay here. The rooms were clean. Every staff member we encountered was unfailingly helpful and polite. It's location puts many local sites within easy walking distance. I think this was our 6th stay at the Inn and I'm looking forward to the next visit.

This is definitely our type of place. We loved our stay. The staff is friendly and efficient. The place is so quaint and the courtyard was nice as well. We loved our room. We loved reading about the history of the place. No ghosts that we saw or heard though :). It is a perfect location too! Just a short...

I stayed here on a Tuesday then spent time in two different hotels- I shopped around for prices and wanted various experiences. This is the hotel I came back to Friday-Saturday morning. This location is closer to the clubs in the Marigny district/on Frenchman Street rather than chaos of Bourbon. As a 25 year old traveling alone and looking to...

My girlfriend and I loved this place - the room was nice, the place is small, quaint and the staff was absolutely fantastic! Close to Jackson Square, Bourbon Street, the French Market and yet quiet at night with none of the crazy noise in other areas - highly recommend this place - it's a GEM!

We stayed three nights at the Inn on Ursilines in April 2017. It is right at the corner of Ursulines and Royal -- well located to walk to all the French Quarter attractions. The price we got was reasonable, and we were satisfied with our stay. As to being eclectic, the Inn is a conversion of some prior building into...

A small and charming hotel in the Quarter. While authentic and a little shabby on the outside, the rooms were very clean, comfortable and well appointed. Not quite as charming as it's sister hotel, Lamonthe, it was located on a quiet street that was easy walking distance to everything in the Quarter and the music on Frenchman Street. Staff was...

We were checked in quickly and courteously. Someone was there to help with our luggage, which was good, as we were located on the second floor and the staircases are very narrow and steep. Parking was close by and all the sights were within walking distance. Our room was small but sufficient. The air conditioner ran constantly and a little...

My husband and I just returned from a 4 day stay at the Inn on ursulines. We had a great time, the staff are super friendly ( I will miss the lovely miss Sylvia (housekeeping) and gave great recommendations for local eateries as well as directions to local attractions. Our room was a second floor king facing the courtyard. The...

Called a guest house, the room was clean and well stocked. Always someone at the front desk and very helpful. Best thing is probably the location which is close to Bourbon St and all the action but far enough away so you don't have the street noise and/or craziness. Felt save and secure. Would definitely return and recommend to others.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
