As most reviews have stated, the location of La Belle Maison is perfect for walking and enjoying the sites, food and music in the French Quarter, Warehouse/Arts District and Lower Garden District - plus the street cars are a couple of blocks away. The conversion of an old warehouse lends a great deal of charm, especially the large windows (or...

What a fantastic place to run away from the winter cold!! The perfect place to enjoy the city , easy walking to all you want to do. The staff here is fantastic from the bellman, valet parking and the front desk is so helpful. We had a beautiful room small no stove but very nice. Would definitely return .

The property was very nice and the location was right at the heart of New Orleans. We stayed three nights and enjoyed the 1 bedroom suite. We had a kitchen, although we didn't use it very much. The bathroom was small, but adequate. The front desk folks were always friendly and helpful. I would recommend staying here

Our overall experience was terrific. The location is fabulous you can walk to the French quarter or down the World War II museum it's perfectly located. The hotel room itself was a one bedroom suite and the amenities in the room were excellent. The only issue we had was with hot water and I did have to call twice but...

Stayed here during the week before March Gras. Excellent location. No cooking facilities in our room - they are in some units but limited. However, excellent restaurants many of which are open 24 hours. Be prepared for the sales pitch, it will come one way or the other. Whether or not you buy is up to you but though not...

The concierge of the hotel was the only nice employee when I stayed there on Halloween weekend. Everyone was rude on the verge of hatefulness and the valets were extremely careless and almost lazy. It would have at least have been nice to have the deposit and parking fees mentioned as a courtesy to first time vacationers.

La Belle Maison is our favorite place to stay in New Orleans. The staff is friendly and helpful--this trip the housing manager called me to make sure that they were making the right arrangements too our room. I have bad reactions to artificial fragrances and find it almost impossible to get hotels, resorts, motels, etc to prepare a room that...

My husband and I decided to stay in New Orleans for a long weekend, and as Wyndham VIP owners, chose La Belle Maison. Reviews were pretty good overall, so that's where we stayed. Overall, the Maison itself is excellent and in a perfect location in New Orleans It is near the french quarter and a lot of things are walkable,...

Just one night stay on our way to Florida. Room was fantastic - large - clean - comfortable. One bedroom with sleeper sofa. Large bathroom opening to the bedroom and the living area. If you manage to refuse the sales invitation, this is a perfect pick for overnight stay.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
