Breakfast is plentiful and delicious! Wonderful porch and a courtyard to just sit and chat. Guy and Nancy are friendly and down-to-earth owners. Great location as well. I would definitely recommend a stay here if you are planning to visit NOLA.

Spending five days in New Orleans in the lead-up to Mardi Gras was enhanced by our stay at this wonderful Bed and Breakfast located in the Garden District only 1 block from the parade routes and the historic streetcar liknes. This being our first trip to New Orleans, we were appreciative of the warm hospitality of the owners, Guy and...

The Sully Mansion is in a terrific location in New Orleans – just a block off St. Charles Avenue in the Garden District. Because of this location we were able to park our car and use the street car for transportation during our stay. The B&B is a beautiful house and our room was bright and sunny and furnished with...

Just returned from New Orleans and spent two nights at the Sully Mansion. The home was beautiful, a taste of the old south with ridiculously high ceilings, lovely home made breakfast and great location for garden district and uptown but close enough to French Quarter by trolley car. The proprietors really care and are interested in their guests with great...

I needed a spot for one night in New Orleans at the end of a business trip. This was perfect. The hosts gave me just the right advice for a quick late supper in the neighborhood, and good advice on reaching the French Quarter, just down the street car line, early the next day. I could park my rental car...

Wonderful accommodations, breakfasts, and hosts who are well-informed about and obviously care deeply about New Orleans. Lovely front porch for early morning coffee or late-evening drinks; easy walking distance to many attractions and shops.

For our first ever trip to New Orleans, my husband and I were fortunate to snag one of Sully Mansion B&B's 8 rooms. The house is in the beautiful, walkable Garden District, 1 block from the St. Charles Streetcar (and the Uptown parade route), and offers delicious breakfasts and wonderful hosting by the owners, Guy and Nancy. (We loved the...

The atmosphere, the history, the memory making moments were all there. This beautiful New Orleans mansion is in the heart of the garden district...very romantic walking. Sitting out on the covered porch for a tea or coffee in the morning or early evening is a must. French quarters are a trolley ride away. Breakfast was delicious, and Guy and nancy...

I really enjoyed my stay at the Sully Mansion B&B. Nancy and Guy were very friendly and helpful, Gracie was a cutie, and the neighborhood was great. Easy access to the French Quarter, easy access to Audubon Park. There were lots of great restaurants and shops in walking distance. Room was comfy. After my three nights, I wish I could...

We spent a weekend at Sully's mansion and were pleasantly surprised with this beautiful bed and breakfast. Great interesting breakfast every morning, home made cookies in the evening. This bed and breakfast is located close to the cable cars that took you into the downtown area, and only 2.2 miles away it was also a nice walk. Cabs were also...

Staying in Garden District

Neighbourhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
