Great hotel and friendly staff. Bed comfy. AC worked well. Had a double queen and room was spacious. Great location to Canal. If you want to be close to Bourbon street this is a good location that's close but not in the mix of all the commotion. Valet is 39.99 plus tax but you can park at parking garage next...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

I stayed at this location for work during Mardi Gras 2017 and was blown away by the quality of the hotel and the helpfulness of the staff. Everyone I came across from the front desk to the breakfast area were pleasant and helpful. The hotel itself is nicely decorated, and well maintained. My room, a king junior suite, was beautiful...

Thanks so much for the nice review. Also thanks for recommending the hotel! I'm so thrilled that you had a great experience over Mardi Gras, as this Mardi Gras seem to be a very very busy one. Come back and see us next year!

This hotel is placed perfectly right off of Canal street. Carondelet turns into Bourbon Street, so basically it's a block to the action, but away from the loud noise. The trolley stop is at the corner of Carondelet and Canal which is very convenient. Breakfast was good, and accommodations were very nice. We felt very safe here, and will definitely...

Stayed here for a wedding. Clean, professional staff, and safe. Great king rooms, wonderful beds, bathroom was a little tight, but not a big deal. The hotel is close to all the tourist areas and right by the streetcar stop. Provided a great map to help us get around at front desk. Complimentary Breakfast was amazing. Huge variety, great chefs!...

This hotel is in a good location. It is not in the French Quarter, as it's on the opposite side of Canal Street, but it is within walking distance. Carondelet actually becomes Bourbon once you cross Canal. We parked our car for the entire stay and were able to walk everywhere. The standard size rooms are really big, and we...

We had a great stay at this property for the last three nights of a huge trip of over a month. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet. The buffet breakfast was typical Hampton fare but plentiful and fresh. The public TVs had both CNN and Fox. The valet staff was exemplary and upbeat. The front desk was always pleasant...

My trip was booked after confirming positive reviews on tripadvisor (bookings.com). Good morning! Thank you so much for filling out the survey, and I want to apologize for your problems. I understand you made your reservation a long time ago. With the storms in the north east it forced people's flights to be canceled out of New Orleans, and we couldn't find it in our heart to kick them out of...

This time in NOLA stayed here at the Hampton Inn...It is a hotel in an old obscure building just two short blocks from bourbon street and the french quarter. The hotel on Carondelet street actually becomes Bourbon street when you cross Canal street and enter the quarter. So its really close and not noisy like the quarter. The hotel is...

I stayed at this Hampton Inn while attending a conference a few blocks away on Royal Street. It was an easy walk, but i wasn't comfortable walking alone in the evening, as there aren't a lot of people out on this side of Canal Street. It's in a pretty quiet neighborhood - good for sleeping, if you want a little...

Front staff were great, the room could be cleaner, I could writey name in the dust under the vanity in the bathroom. The towel rack and the toilet paper dispenser is hanging onto the wall by a thread. The breakfast staff act more like food police, worried more about watching what your taking than serving tasty food. Eggs- cold, bacon-...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
