We immediately felt welcome when we arrived here. We showed up late but Keith was helpful despite the hour. There was a social ride event going on but he still gave us a tour. The beds were comfy and the decor was perfect for New Orleans. We didn't have the breakfast because we had reservations in various places but it...

Nice B&B in the Garden District. Close enough to the French Quarter to get there easily, far enough away to not have to put up with the French Quarter crowd. This place worked out great for a weekend trip for my girlfriend's birthday. We spent plenty of time in the French Quarter but also got to explore the Garden District....

Enjoyed the breakfasts, friendly hosts and the courtyard as well as comfortable rooms. It's always a special treat to be there for Black Queen Ann's radio show. This was our second visit and we will come again.

Twice now we have stayed at the Creole Gardens B&B with friends from across the country, and it has got to be the best place to stay in New Orleans! Everything from the comfort and décor of our rooms to the delicious morning breakfast, absolutely everything was wonderful! From the moment we arrived until our departure we were treated like...

If I could I would move in. When we checked in we met another family checking in who had been returning to this b&b for 10 years. That is possibly the best recommendation you could get and by the end of our stay I could see why. We were upgraded to a bigger room with beautiful furnishings and a little...

The goods.... I loved this bed-and-breakfast and it truly was a very lovely setting in the Garden District. The access after hours and the lovely set up of the courtyard, were quite enchanting. I love their sculptures and the wrought iron gate. The room of course posed of some antiques yet had moderate amenities of Wi-Fi (and television, if you...

Here for a conference. I have been to NOLA many times and knew I did not want to stay in the French Quarter. Loved every inch of this place, from a friendly check-in, a walk through the courtyard, to my beautifully decorated room, to a delicious breakfast in the dining area. I took an Uber to my conference but the...

Funky B&B in between Downtown New Orleans and the Garden District. Much nicer than staying in a hotel. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfasts were excellent, serving something different every day. Staff was great. The St Charles Ave streetcar is one block away, but there are plenty of local options for food and drink without having to go to the...

This was our second stay at Creole Gardens and it was even better than the first time with upgraded decor and furnishings. Desk staff and kitchen staff were all personable, efficient and helpful, as usual. Great location (didn't use the car once) and perfect for the dog, with a dog park nearby. This is definitely our go-to place whenever we're...

Staying in Garden District

Neighbourhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
