Stayed here with a friend during labor day for Southern Decadence. Great hotel and convenient to the quarter. No issues getting a suite upgrade and they gave me a little card at check in that had my name on it and outlined my diamond benefits. I love the $30 food/beverage credit, I wish more WA's did that. Pool was really...

From the moment we arrived to check out, the service at this beautiful hotel was exceptional. Special thanks to Alicia at the front desk who made sure that we were given a wonderful king suite, and to Alfred (lead concierge) who also ensured that our stay was top notch. My husband and I took a trip to NOLA as a quick romantic getaway. We stayed The Roosevelt because of it's central location and Waldorf Astoria's reputation for luxury. We were upgraded to a king bed suite, which was nice and very large EXCEPT for the bathroom. The whole bathroom could not have been more than 5'x7'. It consisted of...

One of the world's best, really. By far and away one of the best hotels in the nation. They do everything right. The rooms look like something out of Architectual Digest and the service is first rate. Oh, and the restaurants are to die for, especially John Besh' Dominga in the Lobby. Some of the best Italian in the world....

Stayed here to celebrate a birthday weekend. The hotel was everything I expected and was extremely close to the action without having to in the action. The rooftop pool is a must if the weather permits. Would return and do it all over again.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
