Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

I have spent there a week on a business trip, and I have to say it's really a great place. The hotel itself is an old-fashioned one when it comes to all the decor and look&feel. But don’t afraid, as in this case, old-fashioned doesn’t mean it’s ugly or something. Everything is

We have stayed at The Roosevelt a few times, but our experience there in December will be our last. I booked a room for a family of 4 - a king suite “with a sofa bed”. The sofa bed was TINY and quite old. It was a twin size at best, only suitable for ONE person. I have no idea

This is a beautiful property with very nice rooms and service. We were attending a play at the Saenger Theater and it was just across the street. Excellent location with easy access to great restaurants within walking distance.

Had conference at hotel and it was great space, food and organized. Staff very helpful and friendly. Food was excellent. Hotel rooms are very comfortable - best bed! Shower was good but pressure weak. Great coffee shop in the lobby. Gym is very small and minimal on equipment.

They have a buffet and its done well, I'm not sure what people are talking about that it isn't great..? Its very good, its done well and well worth the money to eat here! fresh squeezed orange juice and the coffee is great as well as the food, however this is not a buffet like ruby tuesdays or applebees this is a nice buffet. I honestly hate buffets and think they are just gross because its like cattle-call, this is not this way at all. I am so happy we went there i would do it agin!
