I give it 2 stars because of the wonderful location. The level of furnishings and amenities is at the level of a Motel 8, which is fine for $150 but not $320!! They picked the standard hotel price but don't have a clue about hotel standards. No drawers for clothes just place setting decor with hollow spaces inside. The "desk"... More

Very cool setup, great location a half block off State St. Rooms are small but perfect for the weekend. Very clean, trendy and comfortable. Bed and pillows were great. Bathroom was nice. Only complaints were the thermostat seemingly not working (room was warm all weekend despite having it set to 60 and fan on high) and some of the small... More

Stayed here for 4 nights on a business trip and loved the location and hotel itself. It was awesome to see college students actually use the cafe area, Portage Pi, as a study area throughout the day. The hotel is located off State Street, which is a central location for many restaurants and at the end of Greek row. The... More

We stayed here while visiting our son. The hotel's decor is cute and kitchy with a well-appointed lobby and students studying in the lobby coffee shop. The room decor was also well appointed. Our room was located on the 2nd floor on the Langdon street side, so right on the street. The hotel had turned off the air conditioning for... More

We stayed at this property when we toured the university. It is centrally located near the campus. Rooms are well appointed but could be cleaner. Sheets had some visible dirt on them. Amenities in bathroom were nice. If you are looking for the college experience, this property provides it as the students study in the lobby.

This hotel has a college feel, complete with real students on their laptops in the lobby and cute decor. Rather than do not disturb sign to put on door, there is triangular pendant that says, "Studying." Although the theme was collegiate, the room was pretty comfortable for someone who's children already graduated. I dd call about the room safe not... More

I stumbled across this hotel due to the fact the town was full and most hotels did not have any capacity. The checking staff were friendly and helpful. The room was not frills but had all necessary mod cons and was very comfortable. The location was great and I would consider staying there again in future.

We stayed at the Graduate for the Ironman triathalon. It was in a perfect location, right on campus and a quick walk to the Capitol. Great location very close to Capital Square and State Street and the Univ of Wisconsin campus. Excellent location. A very short jaunt to State Street; an easy walk up to the Capitol area. The room was very clean and nice. It was very quiet. You could not hear any of the street noise. My only complaint was that the shower water was lukewarm at best. Overall, a good place to stay. I'll definitely be back.
