This was my second time here in several years and a few things have changed. The 2 bedroom suites were far more spacious than I would have expected. The balcony was great. This is truly a room designed to entertain before a game at Camp Randall. The staff was very accommodating given a slight mix-up with a multi-night split reservation...

What an awesome hotel! Great mixture of old and new here - the charm of a Victorian-style building while offering the expected modern day conveniences of a nicer hotel. Very cool bar downstairs, saloon style. And the hotel has a great location, conveniently located near the Capitol building and downtown. Would stay again!

We stay here every time we go to Madison. There is a great German restaurant(the Essen House) and bar(Come Back In) and another bar connected to it. So you can just stay there at night and not drive anywhere. When you stay on Fri or Sat you get a free breakfast the next day. During the week you get a...

This place was awesome. First, the neighborhood is fantastic. So much to do and checkout as the neighborhood appears to be in the heart of Madison, WI. Too cold and don't feel like going out? They got you covered. Just take the elevator down to the "Come Back In" Bar. Warm yourself up with a drink or just take advantage...

The hotel occupies the two floors of a building that also has a bar and a cafe. In the same area are the Essen Haus and Come Back In -- both excellent and a lot of fun. You're near the train tracks and the occasional train will blare its horn as it passes through. Aside from that, it was reasonably...

My husband planned an overnight trip to Madison and selected the Hotel Ruby Marie because of its great history and location. Check in time is 3PM but we were in the area at 1PM and stopped in. We were told our room was ready and given the keys. We did not actually go to the room because we had a...

The Hotel Ruby Marie is a real charmer! The spacious rooms have a historic feel, but the bathrooms are redone and include jacuzzi tubs (not to mention incredible water pressure in the shower). The location is fantastic, and it's within walking distance to many great restaurants (including the Up North bar downstairs, a relaxing neighborhood pub with live music). Parking...

I had a wonderful stay at the Ruby Marie. This is not your average hotel. This hotel is decorated with a Victorian theme, you almost feel like you've gone back in a time machine. It's absolutely charming. The hotel is located in the heart of Madison and offers food options just an elevator ride downstairs. There's both a sports bar...

Officially the coolest little hotel ever! Originally built in the 1800s this place has so much style. Of course they have made modern updates since then, but still hold onto an 1800s atmosphere. Classic wooden doors, wooden furniture, large vintage mirrors in the stairwell, and several sitting rooms. Even the curtains and the lamp fixtures in my room take me...

This is really a cool hotel. It is really beautiful and the staff does a great job in maintaining it. I could not give it an excellent rating only because of a couple quirky things. First the bed in our room is one of those antique beds, so just getting into bed the headboard would literally hit the wall. We...
