The Cortez Baymont is a very nice Atrium Hotel. The state policy of the mask wearing just takes all the comforts and pleasure away. Staff is friendly amenities are nice. If you like pop tarts and cereal the breakfast is okay. The hotel has great potential minus all the Covid nonsense. Your choice just as other decisions should be.
A great place to stay. We went skiing in Telleride, so it wasn’t to bad a ride. A big room with a great mountain view and a fantastic breakfast (grab and go due to Covid-19) a great sellection of food.
Was moved here due to another Wyndham property closed -- they did honor the booked rate. Exterior facing room was spacious and quite warm despite the zero-degree temperatures. Very well-maintained and clean, and excellent use of sanitation protocols from check-in to check-out.
Stayed in a kitchenette room since staying 4 nights and desiring extra space. Kitchen was well equipped. Bring your own coffee filters and coffee since only 1 package of regular and decaf were provided. Since there is no cleaning service during COVID, room was not restocked. Room was clean, staff all wore masks. Indoor pool was open (did not use).
Enjoyed one night's stay during a visit to Mesa Verde. The hotel is several stories high and built around an indoor pool and spa tub, which has pros and cons. Probably easier to heat, but the noise bleeding into the room from shouting, screaming kids all day long and late into the evening really created a damper on the enjoyment of the large room and Jacuzzi bathroom tub. Bed was comfortable, big flat screen tv reception is great. Grab-and-go breakfasts during Covid. Staff was pleasant, but not very good about wearing masks and certainly didn't say anything to (several) Covidiots that came in without masks.
