Just this morning I checked out of this hotel, and upon arriving home I found I was missing my car keys (having been traveling with my parents). I call this hotel and it rings and rings, finally going to a voice mailbox that is too full to leave a message. I’m desperate so I call again... and again... and again. By now I realize someone is there, they’re just not answering. It goes straight to voicemail after a single ring. I keep calling, because now I’m indignant. I change my cell phone so it doesn’t show my called ID and sure enough the guy picks up. “I just need to know if I left my car keys in room 103,” I say. He replies “we don’t have a room 103” and hangs up. This might be true, although I’m pretty certain that was my room number, but nonetheless I still didn’t have an answer, and I was more outraged than ever. I kept calling. “Mother f****r, what do you want?!” He bellows several calls later. “I just need to know if my car keys were left in...” “NO” he shouted, hanging up again. I kept calling (47x) but now he was lifting the receiver and slamming it down and I knew no matter how annoying I was I wasn’t going to get an answer. So I still don’t know if they have my car keys and I think I’ve gained and enemy for life. Oh PS the hotel was old and dingy but clean. Other than the awful, awful manager I would have given my recommendation to stay there for a cheap, decent nights sleep.…
This place is not worth the money you think you are saving. It really needs upgrades in furniture everything else you can imagine. My biggest complaint is that the telephone from the 80s rang in the middle of the night twice and it was very loud. Startled me out of sleep. I tried unplugging it but could not. I alerted the manager and he suggested I take the receiver off but it started to beep loudly so I went back to the manager and he gave me another room. My travel companion in another room said her phone rang three times in the night. Please avoid this place if you can. I’ve learned my lesson that you get what you pay for and for me it’s not worth saving a few more dollars.
Dead bolt did not work no chain on door, no screen on window. Over 1/2 the room did not have power I called the front desk they came out to the room next door reset the circuit breaker that lasted about 2 hours while my wife was taking a bath the Lights flickered and eventually the power in over 1/2 the room went out again including the refrigerator where my wife had her insulin. One light in the room and the tv worked. When we pulled the blankets back we noticed hair and small spots on the sheets!? the drain in the bathtub did not plug had to keep running the water to keep water in the tub. With the lights not working got to use the bathroom in the dark. There was a pick up truck in the parking with most of the windows broke out. Did not get that much sleep here.
I’ll start with the good things. The room was clean, bathroom too, and water was hot. That’s it. Now for the negative the room was freezing the heater in the room did not work very well and had gaps all around it. They could have put some expanding foam around it to try and seal it. The bathroom door got jammed when you tried to close it. The comforters on the beds were ripped. The floor was not only freezing but the bathroom floor was also supper slippery I fell and so did my son and wife lucky my girls didn’t. Over all this place is lacking big time. I would suggest staying at days inn that’s just down the road. Or any other place.
Old property but it appears they are trying to remodel as they can. The staff was very nice and helpful. They were understaffed when we went to checkout, the manager was cleaning rooms, but she was easy to find. Room was clean and the price was average.
